Natalie… what a joyful video! I grinned the whole time watching you hosting your bestie as she experienced the sights, sounds and beauty of coastal Thailand for the first time! I hope you warned Rachel about the myriad of ways those sneaky monkeys can rob an unsuspecting tourist! I was so jealous watching the two of you dining on the beach… something I have done many times by the Wharf in Puerto Rico’s Zona Romantica… but never had the opportunity to do in Patong, Phi Phi or Krabi. Next time, it is back on my bucket list. I hope you have settled back into your Bangkok life and are finding a happy balance between your teaching and enjoyment of all the rich cultural offerings that surround you in that City. Thank you again for sharing this snapshot of your girls getaway and I look forward to whatever you share with us next. Also, have you explored the Green Lung yet? I follow another vlogger who did a day trip there and he enjoyed cycling the bike oaths through the island park, grazing on interesting edibles at the weekend market and poking around the handicraft stalls. It’s a lovely green space preserved as an oasis in a sprawling city and easily accessed from the river ferry system. I’m also wondering if you have been to any of the zoos in the area? I love game farms, wildlife sanctuaries and well managed zoological parks… but never got to one when I was there. I did enjoy the Elephant sanctuary I visited and my first ever fish spa… I really wanted to see a collection of all the animal species that are indigenous to south asia. Perhaps you may encounter a good spot on one of your weekend “staycations”. And… I’d never say no to a guided tour of the unique food offering that line the grocery aisles in “The Big C” or another chain store. Til your next episode… be well, be safe, be happy!

Aww thanks, Mike! We had so much fun!! You need to eat on the beach next time you’re here! I have been to the green lung! I have both an old video and a blog post about it 😅 there’s another similar car free island a little farther away called Koh Kret - if you like the green lung it’s worth checking out that one too! 😍 No zoos yet, although I have been to two national parks with elephants. Guess I’ll have to make a trip soon to see Moo Deng 😅🤣

@@NataliesPassport The zoo near Bangkok that is currently open for service is Safari World, which is privately operated and located at 99 Panya Inthra Road, Sam Wa Tawan Subdistrict, Khlong Sam Wa District, Bangkok. As for the zoo of the Zoological Park Organization of Thailand, it is currently closed for renovation and will open around 2028. It is located at Khlong 6, Rangsit Subdistrict, Thanyaburi District, Pathum Thani Province.
