first off love you sweater and hair!! Also loved this video! I first found you through your finance videos so I'm so happy you made another ❤️ I love what you said about buying a house and the fees that come with it. I feel like there is so much pressure on our generation to buy a condo or home in our twenties (which is crazy!) but no one talks about all the other fees that go along with it.

Loved the call outs about: - doing your research before putting in any $ into investing - addressing debt before all else - renting vs. buying! in our parent's generation it made a lot of sense to purchase a home, but a lot of times it doesn't make sense anymore (depending on what city you're living in) and when I did the math myself I was super surprised to learn this. I advise looking up rent vs. buy ratio for your city and cost-of-living for anyone reading this 😊

What I think would be really helpful is talking goal %s... yes salaries and debt vary and are all over the place. But what is a good goal for savings, what % of income should go to different expenses? Also important to note that yes a lot of people live at home and it's great to save money, but so many people don't have that luxury! Either their parents are not in a situation that would allow them or they get a job that is far away from home. Just something to think about and would be nice to address if you make another money video! :)

Hey nat. I just wanna recommend u read real estate books, i saw ur last vlog where ur looking for rental property. I recommend 1. the millionaire real estate investor by gary keller, 2. The book on rental property investing by brandon turner. Also for a startup rich dad poor dad is amazing but i guess u might have read it before. For real estate investor networking, BiggerPockets.com is perfect. I listen to their podcast every single day and taking notes bc they share very very good insights. I am only 19 and i love real estate so much so I have started learning it since 17, and those are some books n podcast reccomendation i think would be good if u just started real estate investing. Wish u good luck✌️❤️❤️

This might be a stupid question, but when people talk about investing, does a high interest savings account with stocks/bonds count? Or does it mean strictly investing into individualized stocks? I'm Canadian so I think the language is slightly different! Thank you!
@DCassidine4 жыл бұрын
A high interest savings account is not an investment account and therefore cannot hold investments such as stocks and bonds. In order to invest in the stock market you need to have an investment account (in Canada this would be accounts such as TFSA, RRSP etc.) P.S. I'm Canadian and make videos on investing ;)
