@mailin9092 Жыл бұрын
There is no guitarist I particularly love listening to but Ernie is out of this world. The reason I love him is because he plays such melodic riffs that are easy to listen to, and they're not always super fast or too show off, they're perfectly sweet and sensual and truly touches the heart and soul. I especially love his solo in Summer Breeze. The only reason I'd like to learn the electric guitar is to learn this song, voyage and summer breeze. Isley brothers is the first soul band I discovered and ever since then soul is my favorite genre and Isley brothers my favorite band.

Ernie Isley's guitar always has a way of making me forget my troubles and putting a smile to my face. With tears flowing, I salute Mr Isley, and am so thankful and grateful for growing up listening to the isley brothers songs. Ernie Isley is the greatest guitar player ever. Never have I heard Riffs that are so crisp and clear. Quite humbling to say the least. We should all thank and cherish the Isley brothers for their contributions to mankind.

Without question Ernie Isley is one of the greatest guitarist in history. He was influenced by the great Jimmi Hendrix and took that influence and made his own style. It always amazed me how he is not talk about in this respect. He can hold his own with all the great rock guitarist and in my opinion he has no equal. He can play hard riffs and also melodic passages with ease. He is a master guitar player in every right. He gives the Isley Brothers sound a uniqueness that no soul group can match. Ron Isley has a minimalist way of delivering his lyrics along with Ernie's guitar accenting the verses makes for a dynamite combination.

It's funny how "old fashioned" Ernie's guitar sounds, today. Could be because I'm getting old, but even so, he was always able to fit his solos and fills into the incredible vocals laid down by his older brothers in ways that still sound seamless. His work was popularized in Who's that Lady and Summer Breeze, but I still consider his long exit solo on Hope You Feel Better Love my favorite guitar solo of all time. Nice stumbling onto your corner, Nataly. I'm pretty much a rock & blues guy, nowadays, but I remember soul & funk with affection. In 1978, while stationed in Germany, I was the guitarist in a band with some Army guys called "Soul, Satin, and Silk." We played great tunes of the time, but I couldn't convince them to do any Isley Bros.
