I'm so excited...I really need this and I think this will be one of my most used palettes, especially for travel. I hate all the comments from people saying we all already have these colors....because some of us only buy the makeup we actually NEED, and only buy one or two eye shadow palettes a year, we carry one single makeup bag around with us everyday that holds strictly the makeup we use on a daily basis, and we use it until we need to buy a new one. That is the whole point of watching these videos, so we can use the information to make an educated purchase... because we know we will be married to it for awhile so we don't waste our money. I wear makeup to enhance features on my face and to hide flaws. No matter whether it is with color or neutrals, it all comes down to contouring and playing with light and pigments to create optical illusions. When I buy really artistic EXCITING eyeshadow palettes that gives me a little high and goose bumps... this is just the artist in me buying something beautiful and fun to play withl. Rarely do I ever actually use "exciting" palettes on a daily basis because I need to be able to contour with them in order to transform my appearance, which means practical, neutral, work horses. And once I find something really good that I can't live without, I will continue buying them over and over and over again for many years, and even multiple decades. I love Morgan because while she clearly is a makeup collector, and a very talented artist, but she also is very practical and can appreciates both sides.

I actually love this and would find it so useful! I've considered other matte neutral palettes such as the Makeup by Mario or Patrick Ta ones, but I don’t need like 12+ shades that are a variation of brown. I love a smaller palette, so this perfect range from lightest to darkest in just 5 shades is ideal for me.

As someone who is curious about the Natasha Denona formula but managed to talk themselves out of it multiple times this year because of shade selection concerns (and redundancy of colours), this is actually something I am interested in buying. I just feel like if the whole palette doesn’t speak to me, and if the shades don’t feel repetitive then it is a waste to get a whole palette. Recently I’ve even scratched my itch to get into colour by filling a palette with eyeshadows I can individually select (from the Face Card Collection from the Philippine brand GRWM Cosmetics). I managed to get mauves, purples, greens, and pinks all in one palette (ngl, essentially the Retro Glam palette but with tones that I think would work better for me) and though I’ve only had it for a day, I have gotten an everyday glam look, a subdued green holiday look, and an accidental galaxy look from it. I have spent DAYS looking at online swatches to curate a selection of unusual colours and tones that have been curious about and can play around with without breaking the bank since over the years I’ve used some K-beauty nude palettes for my intro to eyeshadow. I live in Singapore so these are available for swatching in person at some drug stores and were some of the best quality and best shades at accessible price points for people just starting out with makeup. My current everyday makeup workhorse palette is the Holika Holika My Favourite Eye Palette in Truffle which is grey/purple/mauve. It is nearing the end of its shelf life and I might be hitting pan soon so I’m on the look out for a replacement, especially for days when I need to look more put together and awake. That’s why I have been looking into the Mini Dream palette during the sales but those shimmers are wasted on me, haha! I usually don’t care for the shimmers in my K-beauty palettes, and even buying singles from Sephora can feel like a waste because the result on my eyes look roughly the same - overbearingly bright because they all sparkle the same colour and intensity. I just don’t have the lid space that would let these look any different from one another unless the reflection is some other colour. Mattes, imo, are much more worth it but it’s tricky to find colours I can actually use. If Natasha can give me the neutral mattes I need in a mini palette then, my dear friends, I will no longer feel the gnaw of a key makeup basic being missing. I hope that this is not as warm as the Biba palette or I Need A Warm, or as yellow as the Glam palette. Would probably be pretty decent if it’s similar to the mattes in I Need a Nude. It just needs to be the reliable foundation for the rest of the colours and shimmer I already have to play with. The Dior Backstage cool neutrals palette and Makeup By Mario Master Mattes neutrals also caught my eye but I held back. Good thing too because I have sort of duped most of the Dior shades I wanted in my GRWM Face Card palette and the greys intimidated me away from the Makeup By Mario neutrals. Would be great if Natasha Denona can hit the mark with an essential mattes palette because I honestly don’t think I need 12 shades. Crossing fingers that this can be dialled to my needs! How do I say this… my Holika Holika Truffle palette is very safe in that it matches my skin tone well but doesn’t give the definition to look awake? Like I could use a brighter light and a more intense dark? I have pretty oily lids and watery eyes so I want to use matte eyeshadows instead of pencil liners since they always end up messy on me 😅 Health complications have also completely changed the texture of my skin so I have particular concerns about finishes and ease of application now. I don’t think colours blend as nicely over my eyes anymore (possibly because I need more moisturising skin care? But the problem is still there even when powdering or using some primers…), I have more pronounced creases, and I just don’t have the energy or time to spend fussing over poor application. Hopefully the ND formula pulls through 🙏 Tl;dr I have been waiting for a matte essentials neutral palette from Natasha Denona. A neutrals matte palette (5-9 essential shades only and in tones I can actually use) with a beautiful formula that makes my life easier and makeup look more put together and can be my everyday workhorse is the only thing that can convince me to pay for high-end eyeshadow at this stage of my life.

Love my Biba. I depotted 4 mattes into a magnetic mini palette a few months ago and I use it regularly in everyday makeup looks. My palette is getting on in age. I had to declutter the well used cream to powder mattes which includes the Black pan. I want to pan what I have and I will repurchase it in future.

I love the Charlotte Tilbury all matte quad, Desert Haze; and I think the dark brown is deep enough to be flattering like a black shade and it has a bone shade too. So I don't be picking this up, when I know the CT palette will do the same job ☺️

The shades: The shade Medium 451CM is Nurture from My Dream Midi and Mini palettes, the shade Deep 216CM is Coco from Biba, and the shade Black 439CM is the Blackest Black that was is My Dream. The other two shades are in the new formula, so technically they're not repeats.
