Beautiful card. I think the black lace makes the card more elegant. I won’t worry about using black as a color for a wedding. I have been to several weddings where the bridesmaids wore black dresses.

I also attended a cousins wedding where it was all in black and white. I gasped when bridesmaids came down the isle! That was years ago. I was always told it's bad luck to wear black to a wedding, for women to wear it. Now anything goes. Next they'll all be naked. Jez.

Adding the black lace/contrast was the right call! I often do B&W for wedding cards, so elegant, with a pop of colour to liven it up. That gauzy flower was perfect :)

At least here in the US, black and white is very appropriate for weddings. It reflects the typical white dress and black tux of the bride and groom. I think your card is lovely and that simple touch of black does help it all stand out. ❤

Oh Yes! that small amt of black against the white and silver looks very elegant, like a white wedding gown and a black tuxedo. Great choice for the flower. I would definitely give this card proudly.

Very nice. Verdict on the black lace: I too would have worried about that, but I think it worked as it was only showing as a thin border. I like your flower dismantling idea :) I'm glad you enjoyed the sun while it was out - we might be in for a damp and cloudy week.
