@@marie3539 No, we are NOT "into taking human lives," if that is what you wanted to say. Please do not insult others here, because all of us know about all the pros and contras of that topic. If you actually want to promote the idea of no death penalty, you've chosen the worst possible way to do it. We are NOT rejoicing or being "into" taking human lives. We are, however, appalled at Daybell's own inhumanity and the unfanthomable cruelty of what he has intentionally done to his wife and to those two beautiful, precious, helpless children. His biological life is one thing, but his sociopathic nature is a proof that his human appearance houses a being completely void of any humanity whatsoever. Will his death bring Tylee, JJ and Tammy back? No. But it will serve as a brutal punishment for taking three precious lives that he has ended. It is also to remind others out there to be careful what they do, because while every society has it's inhumane elements, this society does not tolerate murdering children. Daybell still shows no remorse whatsoever, and not only is he still the same sociopathic monster, but we have seen that he still controls his family and others as a cult leader and that he still promotes his murderous doctrine of death. At this very moment, Daybell's pathologically inhumane teachings are endangering many other children, in the most literal sense. That is why devaluing his life in the most cruel way that is legally possible is a warning to others that human lives are sacred and that taking them means choosing death. Chad Daybell intentionally dehumanized four people, including two children, and because of that they were slain in the most horrific way, so the society is not content with just keeping him incarcerated so that he cannot repeat his filthy crimes. No, the representatives of the people have decided that he has dehumanized himself to such an extent, that he needs to face the most brutal and barbaric treatment that any civilized society has to offer: taking his life as a punishment for the lives he took. Is it disgusting? Of COURSE it is. I hate that, and we have seen that the jurors had such hard time making this decision, they will stay traumatized and haunted by Daybell's crimes for life. Literally. So kindly don't insult our grief and the memory of the victims by mocking our views. You are not the only one who has feelings here, nor are you morally superiour in any way.

Just seeing the outside, the grass is green, birds flying up above, just another day. Some people never think beyond their selfish desires and lack of respect for another’s life……until they are caught, tried in Court and sentenced. Thank you for showing us what most people hardly think about in their daily lives. My question is do they eventually have jobs to do or something to read……seems to me they would absolutely go crazy. I know they deserve to be there, God is the final judge.

Chad won’t have any job, he is in seclusion in maximum security. He will spend 23 hours locked in his cell. That is mostly for his own safety. When the other inmates get wind of what he did to two innocent children, there will be a couple that will want to make him suffer. He will be allowed to read, and if someone buys him a TV, he can watch local channels. He will be able to play with his “storm” to his hearts content. He could write a book, but since he is in prison, he can’t get any financial gain from his crimes and any money made will go to the insurance company to pay back the money he got for murdering Tammy..

Nate, just something to think about... with your high level of interest in criminal investigations, you might consider taking a Criminal Justice class where it's "required" that students tour prisons as part of their curriculum. In my Corrections class, we toured our Death Row at our only Super Max in Arkansas. One of the West Memphis 3 was there when i toured. He has since been released. Interesting story on them. But, if you think you would like to tour the inside of all levels of prisons, you might consider taking a Corrections Class or whatever your local college offers. Then you can report back to us on your experience from "inside prison."

Hopefully he never gets visits with Lauri. The only one talking to him should be his conscience piping up. But people like that are disconnected from their conciences.

It's a shame that the appeal system takes so long. It's not very fair for the victims

Chad Daybell murdered his wife and his lover’s 2 children. Because he got the death penalty, there is an automatic appeal.

To me, it takes far to long for the sentence to be given. I surely hope he can't write a book.

Why does it take so long, some of these people have been on death row for longer than most life sentences. In New Zealand a life sentence is less than 20 years
@AnniN96

Since the 80s! I‘m against the death penalty. I‘m from Germany and a life sentence here is 15 years. With a special guilt in the sentence you cannot be released earlier and the state has to proof the inmate for the release. Some inmates switch after their sentence into a forensic unit. I think that’s the correct sentence and not death!
@gsmith6026
@gsmith6026 7 ай бұрын
How can a life sentence only be 20 years? A life sentence should be the rest of their lives. I wouldn’t want any of the inmates that are on death row or even have a life sentence to get freedom in 20 years. The thought of Lori or Chad being released from prison is heart stopping.

@@gsmith6026 Many states in the USA have life sentences according to number of years from 15 to 60. For an entire life sentence, the defendant must be sentenced to the number of years allowed in the particular state and without parole. If you would be sentenced in a state that considers 35 years a life sentence, you could go before a parole board to get out, if granted.

So he can have a chance to convince other inmates of the craziness he believes in? Heck no! And on top of that they would have more access to the outside world to keep killing more people from jail or when one of his cult members get out send them to finished what he couldn’t? Chad is where he needs to be. Even the communication with his family will be limited.
