Would love to see a series about the Nuremberg trials with Nate Mann continuing the story of Rosie. That would be fascinating as Rosie's wife (a lawyer also) worked on the trial and was a WAVE in WW2. Thanks for posting!

So glad that this production, brought forth Rosie- such a great man. If only there were more like him today.

Simply incredible. Most people have no idea what it takes to make such a quality series. The preparation, the creativity, the research, the execution, the management, time and budget constraints, schedules, egos, opinions, weather, Covid restrictions, TV network switching, 10 years in writing, casting and production. Nate Mann along with everyone else's performances are at the highest level. No one should watch this and say anything other than it's amazing.

Thank you for your work Mr. Mann. You have captured the combination of quiet leadership by example, steadfast integrity, and courage that Major Rosenthal embodied. A rare, rare person.

Hi David K. I think you and I agree about Rosie's leadership. These are the kinds officers that I looked up to in my service, as I'm sure you did as well. Good to see your comments. BTW, I'll be doing my own presentation of OTD Military History at 12 Central about my Grandfather's service in WW2. I hope you may find it interesting. Take care.

I appreciated Nate Mann sharing his actor's point of view, being that I was a thespian in my youth. I also was fascinated by Colleen's perspective from the costume designer's view as well. So much effort goes into the making of just one film, let alone a whole series.

As the son and son in law of WWII vets and growing up around men like them, my thoughts are: "I miss them."

I miss my father too. You’re right, his friends and he had an underlying comprehension.

Magnificent work, Ms. Atwood. You have achieved the challenging aspiration of honoring those who created the history that the story is based upon. The uniforms and kit are aged for the passage of time and environment. It all just looks so "right."

Bob Rosenthal did go back into law. Rosenthal served as an assistant to the U.S. prosecutor at the Nuremberg trials. Fascinating man.

I was moved when Rosie reached over and squeezed his friend’s shoulder.

On youth and wartime leadership - Read Hornblower (CS Forrester) or Master and Commander Aubrey / Marturin series (Patrick O’Brian) …

So nice to know a fellow fan of these wonderful sea stories. Have you read the Richard Bolitho series by Alexander Kent? They were a favorite of mine in the 1970s and 80s. Bolitho is a much more idealistic leader than Hornblower or Jack Aubrey. Great action, some set during the American Revolution. Brilliant stuff. Cheers.

What I like about the show is that it doesn't talk much about the enemy or portrays them horribly cuz with historical/political topics I find it very hard to blame one specific team since sometimes history can be subjective, or transferred to us with pieces added or missing. Many ww films/series portrays the enemy is such A NASTY way while glorifying themselves, it's like they forget this is history! Nate Mann is so incredible I see big HUGE future for him in the film industry. Man is an eye candy too if u know what I mean lol

Did you not watch the series? It has no sympathy for the Germans, and rightfully so. There was nothing subjective about WWII, as the Germans were straight up evil. Rosenthal, in particular, hates them for a very personal reason.
@ChienaAvtzon9 ай бұрын
I take it you have not actually watched “Masters of the Air”. Since, there was nothing subjective about WWII and who the Americans were fighting. Rosenthal, in particular, has zero sympathy for his enemy and for a very personal reason.

@@ChienaAvtzon You mean cuz he was a "jew from brooklyn"? Well what I mean is compared to other works of wwll, this show didn't focus much on the mention of the enemy and trashing it rather than focusing on the lives of the 100 hundred bombing group, again, compared to others films and series that I watched. At least that is my opinion.
