The dailogue I've always felt is super natural and realistic..a lot of awkward situations and nuances ive definitely related to and alot of the emotion or vibe is unspoken..there's a lot of introverts in this show who play it perfectly and when a real conversation needs to happen it can also be beautifully written and hit hard

it’s weird seeing nate actually being sweet towards cassie. even Jacob elordi said it was odd acting those scenes because he had to be “nice” lol. also why are so many people overlookng that jules kept popping up in nate’s fantasy? what’s all that about?

Yes, super weird! And I didn't articulate this in the video, but I think Nate actually really likes Jules and the closeness they had when he was catfishing her, but he is so focused on not being like his dad that he fixates on cis girls who he can live out his fantasy future with (wife, bio kids) all while fitting neatly into societal norms and expectations.

the way nate keeps pushing cassie on how much she is willing to do to stay with him is chilling. i see the scene of him trying to break things up with her like a test. cassie refused to end things and ran deeper into this dream life nate is building, and when he found her it's like he gave her a "reward" for making the "right decision".

Huh, I don't think I ever pay much attention to any show's dialogue. I guess I judge storytelling as a whole and honestly some of the best scenes are the ones with the least spoken words, and I think that happens frequently here. You gave me a few ideas on what might happen to Fez but I don't think Nate would actually face him, we know he's a schemer and a coward. I do wonder what's his angle with the CD, if it's just a safeguard for him to cast blame if it goes public or what.
