I kinda feel like this AU is more forced than some of you're others because I personally see silverstream as this very feminine, she cat. As well as that I personally liked Silverstream death, being an early sign of forbidden loves don't work out/(even though its thrown out in later arcs). I don't really like this au, as the thought of a struggling trans boi having kits, makes me uncomfortable, but I love the thought that Gaystripe would support Silverstream. Also the thought of my happy boi Longtail becoming deputy, and having kits is amazing. So, i'm kinda on the line between "yES!" and "Maybe.." Either way, I think it's very interesting how you portrayed this! Ty for trying to give Silverstream some character as well.

At the end they also say if you don't want Silverstream to be pregnant, they adopt the original kits too. It doesn't super matter since he doesn't die in the au, it just gives Greystripe reason to follow him to riverclan, but in adoption au it would just be, he loves silverstream so much and wants him to be able to come out so that's why he joins him.

Longtail being deputy is a good idea. He was a jerk in the start but later turns into a sympathetic loyal warrior because he chose to stay loyal to his clan rather than follow Tigerstar and he want Swiftpaw to be a warrior so badly.

I love this AU so much ! Maybe after Sandstorm gets lost, Firestar is so distraught he steps down as leader, telling Longtail to fill the role. Longtail refuses to take the leader name, and has to lead the clans travelling whilst facing the fact that lots of cats don’t trust him. Squirrelflight would come back to both her parents gone, and Longtail wouldn’t want to talk to Brambleclaw much in case it reminds the other clans of him and tigerstar. They get to the lake, and someone (probably Leafpool) tells Longtail he needs to become leader. Longtail wants to go to the moonpool alone, and Leafpool reluctantly agrees, and so does cinderpelt. At the moonpool, he tells StarClan he doesn’t deserve to be leader, but wants to help his clan. So he does not take the lives, but takes the name longstar, still refusing to make a deputy as he is waiting for Firestar and in his mind is still deputy Becomes mates with Millie, and having their kits, he doesn’t love Millie after a while, but he loves their kittens. So when the tree falls, and he dies, the clan is shocked as he hasn’t lost a single life. That’s when cats realise he never had 9 lives. This could also force Blossomfall to hate StarClan, and turn to the dark forest as she thinks they abandoned her father. You could have period of time Maybe at this point Firestar and sandstorm return, but Sandstorm steps down as deputy, feeling that it is her fault that the clan has fallen apart without a leader as if Firestar hadn’t followed her things would have been fine It’s just an idea I thought would fit on nicely, Millie comes back before Firestar and sandstorm because they got separated when the two warriors were avoiding twolegplace. Maybe Firestar lost a life and Millie saw, not believing he would come back

As a trans man, I really appreciate all of your headcanons to make the warriors universe more positive and inclusive (both of lgbt+ and disabled characters) because, let's be honest, it's sorely lacking. I have a few fan clan stories I've made and I have used prince (i had to too cute) but anolther alternative I tinkered with since I had trans and nonbinary cats was 'Milk Feeder' it's more a tribe cat term i guess but it worked out where cats outside or kits as they grew up didn't only associate she-cats with having kits and nursing them so some Clans have queens and princes and others have milk feeders as they word for a cat who birthed kits or is nursing them. (Also throw back to the campguard briar light video being a nursery queen IS a actual position and has it's own ceremony in my stories and I am tossing two names around. Kit Watchers or straight up just Nurses since they'd work in the nursery obvs.) so i guess either one of those two could also work as an alternative to queen ^^ just putting that out there for anyone who loves the au but maybe isn't vibing the prince thing as a title :) Sorry I'm so chatty today in your videos just, oml the nostalgia

I actually enjoy this AU more than the series (much like many of your other AU’S) Also, Longtail being Millie’s mate instead of Graystripe is very cute and now it makes sense that Briarlight went to save Longtail. This also adds more personality to RiverClan. Maybe Mistystar’s deputy died and she made Graystripe deputy, then he became leader and made Silverstream deputy. Or the other way around, just Graystripe being leader makes more sense then Silverstream. It will also help Stormfur when he visits because he only has to go to RiverClan instead of going all the way to ThunderClan. This AU could have just been if Graystripe stayed with RiverClan but this is so much better! This makes Warriors seem more like reality. Also I know everybody else has done this but Gaystripe

It’s considered misogynistic to kill off a female character just so a male character can feel pain. For some reason. I’m of the opinion that “manpain” is kind of stupid. Especially since there have been deaths designed to make female characters upset (Hollyleaf and Stonefur being the first ones to come to mind). I really don’t understand it since dying in childbirth actually happens in real life even with our advanced medical procedures.

I am so in love with this AU and so my brain is running wild lol I came up with a possible addition I think could be cute and sad. After the death of Crookedstar, we still get Leopardstar, but after the whole Tigerclan event and the war with Bloodclan, she's pretty shaken up and obviously not the strong cat she once was. She still elects Mistyfoot deputy, but steps down just before the great journey to the lake, leaving her as an elder and Riverclan with Mistystar as it's leader. Mistystar choses Silverstream as her deputy and the even though Silverstream is distraught at losing both of his kits (as Feathertail and Stormfur are still the chosen cats and Feathertail still dies saving the tribe and Stormfur still stays in the mountains), he stays strong with the support of his clan and husband and the two help Riverclan find their home at the lake. (Small side note that might come into play later, Primrosepaw and Pikepaw (2 of Mistystar's kits) live and are trained by Feathertail and Stormfur. They become warriors before the lake journey with Pikepaw becoming Pikefur in honor of Stormfur, who still choses to stay with the tribe, and Primrosepaw changing her name pretty much completely to Rosefeather to honor Feathertail, who still dies in the mountains.) Brambleclaw still becomes deputy, but since Tigerstar begrudgingly agrees that Brambleclaw already has the leadership position in his paws, the plan is altered to catch Mistystar in a trap (maybe an ottertrap or something instead of a fox trap, or let it stay a fox trap idk), believing that Silverstar would choose Hawkfrost as his deputy once Mistystar died. Things go pretty canonically, with Brambleclaw refusing to help Hawkfrost kill, them fighting and Hawkfrost being killed. But before Hawkfrost is killed, he successfully kills Mistystar completely, leaving Silverstream as the new leader. The warriors are pretty suspicious of Brambleclaw's story, having found their leader and one of clanmates dead, with a blood stained Thunderclan warrior standing over them. They actually hold him hostage while Silverstream goes to the moonpool to get his 9 lives. Silverstar returns to his clan and demands to hear Brambleclaw's story. When he learns what happened, he thinks for a moment and lets Brambleclaw go, escorting him back to the Thunderclan camp himself, informing Firestar of what happened and praising Brambleclaw (as the warrior gained his trust when he was chosen to go with Silverstar's own children and how well they all worked together, defended each other, etc). He returns to his clan and makes a choice. In honor of his close friend Mistystar and her tragic end, Silverstar choses to make one of her kits deputy (I like Reedfeather, but I think it would be Rosefeather, as she was mentored by Silverstar's beloved daughter Feathertail, it could also be Pikefur, since his former mentor Stormfur isn't in Riverclan anymore, but he is still alive, whereas Feathertail is not). The choice gives Silverstar a memory of Mistystar, but also of his kits, who are no longer there. He lives a long and full leadership, even being the one to kill Hawkfrost in the great battle, saving both Hollyleaf and Ivypool (which gives Crowfeather the chance to at least try and get to know *all* his children, and for Breezepelt to make amends with Hollyleaf as well as Lionblaze). He survives the great battle and just a brief time after that, when he eventually succumbs to old age and sees his daughter Feathertail and dear friend Mistystar waiting to take him to Starclan to see the rest of his family and lost friends, leaving his clan confidently in the paws of his loyal deputy Rosefeather. Idk what happens to Graystripe, but I imagine he lives about 2 or 3 moons further, and dies of either old age or sickeness, with Mothwing and Rosestar at his side. He closes his eyes, slips away peacefully, and when he open them again, Silverstar and Firestar are there waiting for him. (Also Silverstar knew about Mothwing's disbelief in Starclan since his leadership ceremony, but unlike Mistystar, he was super supportive of her and helped her alot maybe even helping her find a way to tell the clan. Silverstar is also *super* ready to throw paws with *anyone* who dares taunt or insult Mothwing for her beliefs)

To preface: I'm a dysphoric trans man who likes trans hcs, but isn't too terribly keen on ones that,,, I guess make their canon gender their AGAB and they become a binary trans person for the other gender???? (Example: A canonically female character, like Silverstream, made into a trans guy.) It rubs me the wrong way most of the time, so I tend to avoid these kind of discussions and keep stuff to myself. HOWEVER. Due to the Rampant Drama of the warriors community imploding a third time this month on twitter over this video, I decided to bite, see what was up, garner my own opinions from it instead of leeching off the hivemind of absolute insanity.(which mainly consisted of truscum, ew.) And I actually enjoyed the video, and the AU. You make sure to reassure people 'hey if you don't like it, YOU can change this stuff, I won't feel bad, this is my interpretation of the concept.' and you WARN PEOPLE about everything. It's amazing, and I appreciated it a lot myself. I share similar feelings to you regarding my own fear of getting pregnant in some way, so your reassurance with 'if you're uncomfy, change stuff. toss it out. it doesn't have to be there if you don't like it!' is very accommodating, and I thought it was more than enough. I still get uncomfy with most of these kinda hc's now, but your reassurances throughout this video and your explanations as to how you felt things would change and why and everything else were amazing, and I absolutely adored this video. I won't adopt the hc for myself, but I do appreciate it a lil more now, and I like your note at the beginning that Graystripe can be gay OR bi due to canon.(As a bi guy, i Really get uncomfy when people try to erase canon heteronormative relationships from a character just to make them gay or a lesbian. bi exists! pan, poly, omni, all those exist too! homosexual characters are important, but bi/pan/poly/omni/etc characters are also just as important, and shouldnt be overshadowed by their homo siblings) Thank you for your reassurances, sorry you're gettin backlash, and hopefully more HCs that are as in-depth as this come from you and the rest of the community(after they calm down, of course.)

As a trans man, let me just tell you that I’m REALLY NOT a fan of this concept. Taking a character that is objectively referred to as female throughout their cannon and making a big and public AU that centers around them being trans?? That’s. Pushing it. Like, I can’t tell anyone to not interact with media in their own way but from my perspective this feels like painting representation on top of a cis story, and I can absolutely understand why there’s been backlash.

Most of the backlash I have recieved has been "stop making the cats gay" or "cats can't be trans." I'm sorry we ultimately engage with media differently, but I have always benefitted from tweaking stories I enjoy for anything to changing names I dislike to pretending I could exist within them. Not everyone engages with stories this way, but many people are invested in transformative media and this is for them.

I love this AU! I always felt like Silverstream's canon fate was a bit lacking and was only written for plot reasons, and I've been in love with the idea of trans man Silverstream ever since you mentioned it in the LGBT Warriors videos. (And I love nonbi Pinestar! Just let him be happy without forcing him into roles he won't truly want!) Another idea I'd be super in love with is if Graystripe *did* get captured before the Great Journey and Millie is pregnant with another tom's kits, though it's very early on and she doesn't know about it yet. She's dissatisfied with kittypet life, but she quickly grows enamored with Clan life from Graystripe's stories and wants to go to the Clans with him when he leaves. They grow very close as friends along the journey, and when they eventually get to River/Thunder/whateverClan and Millie gives birth to her kits, Graystripe feels very protective of them and is basically their honorary father/uncle figure. And Silverstream, knowing how important Millie was in helping Graystripe return and seeing how close they are as friends, also feels very protective of the kits in a honorary-uncle sort of way, and the two are good adoptive fathers to Millie's kits in the absence of their biological, unknown father. (idk i just think it'd be a really cute idea!)

Well i think silverstream would find three orphaned kits in the middle of riverclan territory, without a mother in sight. So he goes looking and serches, serches and serches for these kit's mother but can't find her anywhere. So he takes them back to riverclan and tells them the news. Crookedstar allows them to be raised in riverclan. Both graystripe and silverstream adopt these kits. There is one she-kit named pebblekit and the two toms are called reedkit and scalekit. Featherpaw and stormpaw are really happy to be older siblings to these kits and they think of them like they are blood related. So as time goes by crookedstar sadly died and leapordfur becomes leader. This is also when she picks stonefur as deputy but then tigerclan happens. Tigerstar starved mistyfoot, featherpaw, stormpaw, stonefur, pebblekit, reedkit scalekit. As stonefur is about to sacrifice himself mistyfoot steps in and saves him, which costs her life. Then by the time the battle of bloodclan rolls around reedkit, scalekit and pebblekit all become apprentices. Pebblepaw is apprenticed to stonefur, reedpaw and pebblepaw are apprenticed to other riverclan cats (sorry i am not good at rembering names so if anyone could tell me that would be great.) So in the middle of battle silverstream is nearly killed by a bloodclan cat but scalepaw jumps in to save her, getting permanet scars and life long injures. After the battle silverstream and graystipe learn that scalepaw had his left eye blinbed, right ear shredded and one of his back paws are twisted. He is also covered in scars from head to toe. Oh and before i forget i am going to say what the three kits look like. Reedpaw is a reddish/grey tom with amber eyes, scalepaw is dark grey with light grey flecks and pebblepaw is dark gray with white spots and green eyes. Due to scalepaw's injuries he can't fight as a warrior and has to be a medicen cat. So right before the journey starts mudfur dies, mothwing is full medicen cat and scalepaw is her apprentice. Scalepaw becomes very bitter, cold and angry towards everyone and blames graystripe for not being there for silverstream in the bloodclan battle. He soon disownes graystripe and learns of hawkfrost's plans to rule over riverclan. He happily requests to help and with a bit of reluctance hawkfrost let him help. Then feathertail and stormfur go to find the lake and on the way back it's stormfur who dies not feathertail. So then they all leaves, get to the lake, settle down and form new boundaries. Then reedpaw becomes reedtail and pebblepaw becomes pebblestream. Scalepaw becomes even angrier at this, so much he starts to hate everyone and even starts to hate his own family. He starts blaming silverstream for his injuries and disownes him to. Silverstream starts to blame himself for everything but graystripe is there for him through thick and thin. So then scalepaw helps hawkfrost to try to kill firestar but brambleclaw kills hawkfrost and scalepaw maanges to escape without being spotted. Feathertail falls in love with reedwhisker but she is still with crowfeather and dosn't know who to choose. Feathertail then brakes up crowfeather then becomes mates with reedwhikser. Crowfeather then falls in love with leafpool and we all know how that turned out. Feathertail and reedwhikser have two kits named rainkit (she-kit) and stormkit (tom.) Reedtail starts to hate being called a tom so he tells his family that he is now a she-cat. They all support her, even scalepaw supports her, in his own scalepaw way. Then pebblestream falls in love with a rouge she-cat named silk, a white and grye she-cat with very light but beautiful grey eyes. Scalepaw then becomes scalefur and he finds out about his sister's secret relationship and tells leopardstar. Leapordstar nearly exiles her but stonefur talks her out of it. Pebblestream forgives scalefur, but he still blames himself for all the bad things he has done. Now fast forward to the dark forest battle.... now get ready for some feels. Snowtuft was attacking silverstream and he was winning but snowtuft was about to kill him. Graystripe rushes to his aid and fights off snowtuft but sadly gets killed in the process. A few minutes after feathertail and reedwhisker's kits which are now rainshine and stormstrike are fighting in the battle. Hawkfrost kills rainshine and tries to kill silk (who came to help fight) but she chases him away. So after the battle silverstream buries graystripe and helps reedwhisker and feathertail bury rainshine. Leapordstar soon dies and stonefur becomes stonestar. Pebblestream runs away with silk and they start a little rouge clan together named pebbleclan. Reedtail becomes mates with a tom named splinterclaw (a random cat i made up.) Her and splinterclaw adopt a kit named hopekit. Feathertail brakes up with reedwhisker and becomes mates with crowfeather. Oh and silverstream is now the clan deputy of riverclan but wishes it was his mate graystripe instead. Silverstream will forever mourn his lover and will always remeber him. Now lets timeskip to when darktail comes around. Also i have not finished avos and i don't want any spoliers for the new arc. When darktail invandes riverclan reedwhisker dies along with splinterclaw. Hopekit is now hopeshine. Pebblestream's clan comes to help fight off darktail. In the battle some of pebbleclan's cats die along with stormstrike, nightcloud and others. So after darktail dies everything is now okay... well in riverclan it is until the fire and everything. But for now everything is peacefull...... or is it? Edit: this took over an hour to write.... welp it was worth it.

AU idea inspired from this; Trans Fernsong, male to female. Ivypool willingly becomes pregnant so that Fernsong can become a mother. While Ivypool isn't too enthused about being a mother she is willing to go through pregnancy so that her mate, Fernsong can be a mother. And Fernsong is the cutest eithor way. I fricking love this AU so much! Time to write a fanfic (if that's okay)! Personally, I'm a cisgender female, but the idea of being pregnant is terrifying. I'm not much of a lover of children, and pregnancy is a difficult process that doesn't really appeal to me. I've never really wanted to be a mother. And living in a US state that has recently decided that abortion is illegal in state, I'm kinda terrified that I would end up pregnant and have to live through it. I can't completely imagine how I would survive it. I know it's not the same as being a trans man or nonbinary person (or any kind of gender-nonconforming person) being pregnant, but I guess what I'm saying is that, for what it's worth, I get that it would be horrible to be pregnant with that dysphoria on top of everything else.

@@spotty7820 The only person that can truly know is your friend- I might suggest to her to question if she DOES feel comfortable identifying as female, or if she is simply willing to survive continuing with the identity because it feels obligatory. many people i know have described initially feeling like they cant be trans because they felt as if they could survive continuing to identify as their birth assigned gender if they had to- but if you were wiped clean and given a choice, would you choose it again? I reccomend to explore new ways to present if she's questioning how she feels, perhaps ask some friends to expiriment with different pronouns for a few conversations and see how it makes you feel.

This is beautiful, I wish this was cannon Also- I thought of an interesting way for river clan to be brought Into the spotlight After feathertail dies, and stormfur stays with brook- silverstream and graystripe are devastated. After a while, silverstream brings up the topic of kits and says that he wants to have kits- but not the way he had the last ones. So Graystripe proposes the idea of adopting some kits from a queen in any clan who doesn't want to- or isn't allowed to have them. (Heck, we can even say that they adopt Leafpools kits instead of Squirrelflight adopting them.) And so- the drama in thunderclan subsides and River clan is brought into a new light, Making them finally relevant to the stories. (Also- we could have it to where hollyleaf is in the prophecy- she just doesn't have powers. Showing that you don't need to have some crazy powers to be great)

I really like all the ripple effects this Au causes! Maybe when Graystripe joins RiverClan and cater his kits are born, Crookedstar makes Graystripe deputy because he notices Leopardfoot might not be the best leader and maybe she’s not accepting of Graystripe and Silverstream. Then Graystripe will become Graystar and maybe Feathertail could survive after the Tribe of Rushing Water stuff and become RiverClan’s next leader. Maybe Stormfur could be a good choice for this position too!

tansmale here- I think graystripe n silverstream could have more kits tbh. I dont think it has to be stressful. I know every trans person has different opinions on pregnancy, although i dont have an issue with being pregnant and am mostly just waiting out having a few before going through gender reassignment. Although i could see Silverstream going ahead and becoming leader and just being happy having two kits with his boyfriend (Although i really like mistystar and don't want her to die despite how fucking atrociously old she's gotten now), I don't think a silverstream lives arch would make Graystripe for a good deputy, part from being non-clan born too early in the code life (where that stuff really matters) and part due to i think he doesnt really prove himself? I think hed still spend all his time fond over silverstream and never quite grow into a fully responsible adult (but maybe silverstream straightens him out at the end, and he can spend more time loyal as a warrior with his mate n kits) but i worry the same effect that he had in the original books, that he pines for the forrest and his companions in thunderclan linger.

I have a AU idea: Mapleshade's kits are Birchface's. And to explain the whole lying thing she's hesitant to state that she was mates and having the kids of someone who's dead that's why she didn't actually State cuz she was uncomfortable with the reminder that she lost her love. The reeds omen are actually bamboo or some other plant that could be mistaken for reeds. And she was chased to the river clan border by frecklewish. And the kits drown and basically happens in books only she attacks appledusk in anger for being mistaken as the mate of the cat that killed her love. She goes insane and the next medicine cat after she killed him gets visited by Birchface and tells the medicine cat to tell his father what he's done. Giving Oakstar some character development learning he killed his kin. Well this is my AU and how do you think.

Okay, this AU is very good written AND EXPLAINS MORE THINGS THAN ORIGINAL NARRATION. It makes me kind of uncomfortable, however. But, you know, I think I know why in original Warriors Graystripe returned. He was just in love with Firestar (Firestar loved him too, all the New Prophecy series proves it). But they both hadn't enough courage to say it. They could be a cute pair, but I know, that Sandstorm is more down-to-earth and Firestar needed it. But couldn't they be just good friends? There's a long history of this plot point, a woman dying in childbirth like a beautiful tragedy to further how sad the man's life is. It's called manpain and specifically childbirth is something we have seen in many books and stories through history as a way to remove female characters from stories, and especially the way she dies, like take care of our children with a perfect tear on her cheek is a story we have seen told beforr, and it has a history of misogyny

I also imagine that's why Rainflower found it so easy to distance herself from Crookedstar. Addition to the Au: The river is turbulent, and grey stripe witnesses a Queen and her kits being over taken while trying to cross, and thrown into the water. He, silverstream and another riverclan cat pull them out. The Queen unfortunately did not survive, as her head hit a rock when she was pulled under. Greystripe And silverstream take in the kits.

I really, don't like this AU. SilverStream was VERY feminine to me. Plus, I actually felt her death was somewhat needed. It added multiple arcs, and I kinda felt like it helped make me like GrayStripe more. Also not to mention how I feel about Trans Cat topics-+ Also, I really hate the manpain part. Yeah, a female died because of pregnancy, and sure the male was affected. But GrayStripe wasn't the only one affected, and a female was affected too. So, going by this logic, SpottedLeaf's death manpain because FireStar/FireHeart/FirePaw was affected by it? Plus, SilverStream's death helped set more things in place for me. Also, also, the AU's that develop after are so confusing. This is why I really don't like AU's like this that would drastically change the entire book and it's outcome. Though, some are probably fine and lit and I don't hate all AU's like this. Cause you know what, you ain't hurting anyone. I adore this au gosh. It’s so much better than what we got in cannon based on the deputy and Millie stuff. I love it so much. People are saying they see Silverstream as very feminine and girly, but maybe he is just like that to hide the fact that he is a boy and trans. If this au had happened I image him being his real self and not that girly, but we never got to see that. (I’m not saying that males can’t be girly, gender doesn’t matter, but you know what I mean.) I could definitely see Silverstream acting over the top feminine to hide him being male. I also don’t like Silverstream to much in cannon? This au makes him much more intresting.
