We are one of those couples that sit on the same side when we can. We also do not have our phones out unless it is something to show the other one. Sitting side by side makes it easier to have a conversation about anything since you don't have to speak loudly across the table. People watching is a breeze because one person doesn't have to turn like an owl to agree/disagree with the other's observation. Finally, we are both tall so we won't be kicking each other under the table.

Helloooo Folks! This year, I am thankful to be back working, and having Nate, Aaron, and Buckdance as my coworkers. I am an Uber driver, and driving through the height of COVID was way too risky for me since I am built like Justin Smith. Since getting vaccinated, I am back at it. I usually drive 8-10 hours per day and Nateland pretty much plays constantly in my SUV. My riders love it as well. They usually get a few chuckles along the way and I am glad to share the goods which is Nateland. It is nice to have something other than music to listen to in the car, and I don’t have to worry about the language offending my passengers. Kudos to you guys for keeping it clean in a dirty world. Keep being a bright spot in the day of many. LET’S GOOOO FOLKS!

Honey Baked Ham now sells roasted turkey breast. It has that ham crust delicious stuff on top just like the hams. (comes sliced...and there’s one in Lebanon) Only way to eat turkey. Sides are also good. We were travelling before thanksgiving, so we went with ordered food. Delicious.

For Thanksgiving, I forced my reluctant almost adult children to watch The Sixth Sense. My son guessed it half way through but my daughter’s mind was blown. When he says, “I see dead people,” both simultaneously exclaimed, “Oh that’s where that’s from!” Now I can show them Nate’s Sixth Sense bit and my kids can appreciate it.

The whole time Nate was reading I was nervous like a dad watching his child deliver their lines in a play. I was watching another podcast where Nate was a guest, he said that he is still in the red financially with this podcast. I think you should start a “pass the pod” campaign, where people can find unique ways to pass on the podcast to friends, family or strangers. For example, leaving a note on a restaurant bill, or giving a present to your friend and it’s just the link to the pod on a piece of paper in a huge box

Ketchup has vinegar in it, so it can be left out. But Ketchup in the U.S does have a bunch of sugar and other stuff in it so it's more fresh if you keep it in the fridge. In the U.K and Australia most people keep it out. Also my family is a keep one butter stick out and the unopened ones in kinda family.

I enjoy the podcast and the comment sharing. This week I learned that there is a comedy club in Shipshawana. And I was left with a new mystery. What cruel joke is Nate retiring because it’s trashing someone while they are not there to defend themselves. I truly hope that the confident pee-dy prisoner joke is not retired. That joke's timing, cadence and word choice is so Nate. Love your act and hope to see you again soon. We saw you in Fort Wayne in March 2020 with BlackBerry when we were still pre Covid nervous instead of shutting down. Being raised in a preacher's home the Rapture was a hot topic. One day when I was about 12 my mom hid behind the shower curtain while I was searching through the house for her calling for her in a worried voice. Finally, what felt like hours she came out from behind the curtain and she told me she was making sure my heart was right. Now I do this to all my daughters...good times

Jelly is made from the juice of a fruit, and Jam is made from the fruit itself! That’s the difference! Probably won’t get to this, but we love you guys. Went to see Nate and Beans in south bend just a few weeks before the pandemic because our home town show was sold out (Kalamazoo). The Kalamazoo show was the night of my wife’s birthday, so we were out at a local staple (principle) and half way through we realized that we were sitting in the table next to you guys! We were determined to “play it cool” and just say thank you to you guys for everything on our way out, but by complete happenstance, beans got up to leave at the exact moment we did! I’m a photographer, so I had my camera on the table, and beans commented on it (it’s a vintage film camera). Nate must have thought we wanted a photo, because he started walking over to take a photo, only for me to panic and offer him a handshake before rushing out the door!! We still laugh all the time at the look of bewilderment on Nate’s face as we walked out. Thank you guys so much for everything you do! We’re huge fans, and as a new father myself… congrats beans!!

I'm like Nate. My wife always buys Neopolitan Ice Cream, I always eat the Chocolate and Vanilla, and she always gets mad at me. The other day my 6 year old grandson Micah came over, my wife asked him if he wanted some ice cream, and when she opened up the box there was only strawberry left. Micah chirped out "I see grandad has been in the ice cream again!"

You know… I was raised on refrigerated margarine (butter was a luxury), but when I started living with my girlfriend, I took one look at the butter being left out in a container on the counter, soft and always ready to easily spread, and I thought- “that makes sense.” Never turned back. Highly recommend leaving butter out. Life changing.

I just want to expand on the butter in the fridge vs. butter left out debate. When Bulletin Board said you can’t leave butter out because it’s a dairy product, he was somewhat incorrect. The truth is that SALTED butter can be left out at room temperature as the salt helps preserve its freshness. Unsalted butter, however, will need to be refrigerated or it will spoil much like any other dairy product. Source: I eat a lot of butter.

I'm late to the Nateland party and stupidly am listening BACKWARDS at this point, because I heard all the new ones and I'm in too deep to reverse how I've listened. (So they're getting worse, in other words... all much better once Dusty arrives!) Anyway, I love these guys now and I've been listening nonstop for weeks now. But I'm not particularly interested in the ins and outs of being a comedian, and there is a LOT about that in these. A LOT of Nate rants about being a comedian, that go on and on and on. I wonder how many of their listeners are aspiring comedians or have quite this much interest in that particular topic that is given so much time. I feel they'd do better to spend less time on that, even though obviously it's their world. It's not most of our world, though.

I'm normally not a big fan of the episodes that feature guest comedians. For some reason they seem to mess up the rhythm of the show. Justin Smith is the exception and fits in seamlessly with everyone else. He's very funny and adds great content to what is already my favorite podcast.
