South Metro Fire Rescue (Colorado) responding to various different emergencies. In some clips, you can see PIO10 responding from Station 21. That is because he was transporting a news crew to all of the medics call for 1 day. Enjoy!

what crew do the engines in SMFR run? sometimes i see 3, sometimes i see 4, are there specific units that run with 4 members on board the engine and some with 3 on the engine? if so which companies?

For the most part, they run 4 man crews. There’s at least one crew that runs 3 because of limited bunk rooms in the station, and that’s engine 15

It was a boat that caught fire, they initiated a dive response due to the fact that people had jumped off the boat and were in the water.

I see that station 21 has medic 21 and medic 211 who do they know to dispatch or they go on a rotation basis?

They take turns running calls, but when the tones drop, it says “medic” for medic 21, and “ems” for medic 211

I work as an EMT in New Jersey and I’m not absolutely sure what the laws are in this state but at 1:54 that light was red and all 3 vehicles drove through it without even slowing down. I’m pretty sure that’s not the appropriate way to clear an intersection, just saying.

They have opticom that changes every light but theirs to red, so the light you were seeing, doesn’t correspond to the light they had
