Amazing work again, Nate. That looked like it must have been excruciating as it formed, glad to know people who do patient and careful work are out there. I have a feeling Nate can see things that we can't with the camera resolution. I know when he zooms in tight, I can suddenly see a very clear difference between the corium and the horn that I can't see from the wider angle. I also suspect seeing the cow walk and _smelling_ when something is rotten helps to identify a problem.

Oddly enough, your comment about the knife being in the best condition when it is thin like this reminded me of ballet shoes. Ballerinas get their shoes and they are absolutely pristine, but impossible to dance in, and they purposefully break them down, much like how you purposefully sharpen your knives. They both get better with use until they're so worn down they need to be tossed!
