This is in He Nan, near Shaolin temple. I visited there a few years back, and was so impressed by how hard the kids trained. They start at 5am every day. You meet these kids on the roads here and there, all have this sunny air about them, dynamic, spirited, natural and always ready to help... Unlike many of the city kids you see who are often burdened by homework looking pale and sometimes spoiled... The martial arts training does seem to help kids to grow up healthy and sunny

Asian kids are the way they are cause of their parents. They have a sense of community and teach kids from a young age to have a strong moral fiber. To build a strong community you need strong families. Westerners see this as oppressive and to be honest my parents never forced me to go to school they just explained why I must and the consequences if I don’t. Growing up I thought the westerners had it better but now seeing what is unfolding in the US I can’t help but be thankful for my parents and the love we have for our community.

If China wants to build a highspeed rail road through YOUR house, you have two choices - you get SOME compensation for moving, or you get NOTHING and they still demolish your house anyways. Meanwhile in the US, each kilometer of rail road will cost the government more than a million dollar because of legal fee, high labor cost due to union, etc..

Yes because all 36,000 of these kids went there specifically to join the military. If a war happened between the United States of America and China, these kids wouldn't be doing anything. They are students, in school, taking martial arts classes. They are not in the military armed with guns. Nor do they come to the United States and walk around with bombs strapped to their chests ready to blow up anyone they want to. They are more disciplined because they chose to go to that school where discipline is a requirement, or they are obligated to. Not the entire country (China) is as disciplined as the students in the said school. Not all people in America are lacking in discipline.
