It's intriguing how Trump ever got into office with how completely incompetent, corrupt, and morally defunct he is. These past four years are the darkest in America's history, and hopefully they are the worst we ever go through as a nation.

not like the situation could have ever gone any different. the only alternate reality we get is one where the US didn't demand for a south korea, and instead we get a whole peninsula of kim rule.
@kevinqi7992
@kevinqi7992 Жыл бұрын
@@manipulatortrash that's just not true, is it. a very real "alternate reality" is if macarthur kept his mouth shut about nukes and his troops away from the yalu river. china wouldve never gotten as significantly involved, ussr wouldnt have sent modern fighter jets, and "north korea" or the DMZ as we know it might've just been a 10 mile strip along some mountains. so many of our issues today in east and southeast asia were caused or at least worsened by that geopolitical idiot, macarthur.

Fully agree! North Korea must be part of the Global plan, to keep money rolling for this stuff. If not, we would have already ended this maddness. Everyone complains about Hitler, and he was a monster. Yet, North Korea is no different, yet we let them continue to play war. When they should have already been put to bed.

The 38th parallel wasn't created. It's the 38th parallel from the equator. It's a geographic marking which just happens to be there according to universally agreed geography. We could rearrange the world map but i doubt it would change the situation. The border we see is largely because of the lay of the land.

@@ricrasekh I'm well aware of this. But he's not attempted any real change. There's an acceptance of black markets followed by crackdowns. The info that does get out suggests he's further consolidated the regime's power through building more 'camps' and executions in some areas have increased with more crimes now punishable by death. He's also built theme parks for his wealthy compadres. And executed members of the party who suggested a move to a more democratic society. So while I understand your point the evidence I've read suggests he has no interest in upsetting the current status quo and will not gradually introduce measures to ease the grip of the regime's power.

Weird fact: In the original version of Lion King, "Be Prepared" was partially inspired by the first footage released to the outside world from inside North Korea, as well as the first Nuremberg rally in 1934. To be able to release Lion King in Germany and South Korea, Disney had to say that "Be Prepared" was inspired by both, which is true. So yes. A Disney movie inspired by Shakespeare featured a scene inspired by the first footage released to the outside world from inside North Korea.

@@tylerxoxo7357 Definitely. It's not the blank check you give for the war budget of your military industrial complex. Nor the perpetual wars you are waging all around the globe. Nor the countless coups you're perpetrating in countries you've never heard of. Nor the corporations constantly getting massive tax cuts and bail outs. Nor you living on a borrowed money that you can't pay back. Nor the FED constant printing of soon to be toilet paper. Nor your ever growing debt. Nor you weaponizing the dollar and sanctioning half of the globe. Nor your whole Congress being bought by your corporations. Nor your fully corporate bought media. Nor the unwillingness of your politicians to investing into your crumbling infrastructure which gets rated D+. Nor your broken educational system. Nor the millions of people dying because they can't afford medical service. Nor your income gap being one of the largest in the world and only getting wider and wider. Nor the 63% of your population living paycheck to paycheck. Nor that most of it is living under a modern slavery with the top 3 richest people being wealthier than the entire bottom half of your country's population. 3 people have more money than 160 000 000 US citizens combined. Let that sink in. Nor your prison population and incarceration rate being the highest in the whole world by far. Nor you making business off of your prisoners who are being used as slaves and working for pennies. Nor your centuries old widespread racism. Nor the psychos with guns in uniform killing unarmed people left and right. Nor the constant mass shootings. No, no, no, there's nothing to see here, all of your problems are caused by the new boogeyman they've invented for you - the big, bad, scary and evil China. It's all their fault. There's no warmongering, fear-mongering and McCarthyism. You're not brainwashed by your MSM propaganda machine. 'War is peace, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength.'~ George Orwell, 1984

@DC What tipped you off that I am in fact a communist sympathizer and also an unquestioning CNN viewer? Was it me pointing out that a NAT GEO documentary on DPRK diplomatic relation including the most recent developments i.e. Trump administration, to be unsurprising? Or was it me reciting the first chapters of "Das Kapital"? Oh wait, that didnt happen :DD I could comfortably fly an airplane through the holes in your logic though, comrade.

Trump highlighted the ridiculousness of the whole world giving the kim terrorists aid every year. He also made kim seem weak in front of his slaves. He has done more to fix the hermit kingdom problem in 4 years than the whole world has in 50. Thank you President Trump.

That last statement is spot on. Any negotiations between the US and DPRK will be meaningless without China at the table. The Korean War armistice was signed between the US, DPRK and China. South Korea is not part of the signatory. For hostilities to officially end, all 3 must come together to ratify a peace treaty, with South Korea involvement as well. China is the key player here. Their geopolitical interest lies in having North Korea as a buffer state between it and South Korea, and to ensure that the DPRK remains a constant thorn against their rivals in the region. Yet, at the same time, they also want North Korea to not be too problematic to the extent that it causes problems on their end as well. It's a delicate balancing act.

China would never allow North Korea to reunite with South Korea. If an uprising happened, China would send in troops to help put it down. China would never allow the US that close to their border. China and the US are very much scared of each other. A United Korea, means a much heavier US military presence.
