Sweet Doppler! I need to do a flyby with my new United Pacific train horn

Interesting sound. You should try a RRO configuration by flipping the 3B and custom 5.

@@curs5tproductions958 I have tried it with the “44 and 55” reversed, it doesn’t sound like that RRO configuration that I thought it would. Since the RRO is a variable orifice, I would need to adjust the air inlets sizes on each of the bells as they’re all the same. I can experiment on my next meetup.

I have 2 questions. First question is, do people from their homes complain about the train horns from the cars? And second question, is the police cool with you guys doing your train horn tests at the horseshoe curve?

I got both answers, we are a mile away from the closest residential house, only on calm nights where the locals can hear us, and they do stop over and chat with us, since Altoona is a large Railroad town with a lot of history and one time a neighbor brought us pizza for lunch. (pre covid) Cops do occasionally come out and every cop that does stop over is cool with what we are doing (out in the middle of a remote area instead of intown), the last one that stopped over, someone on virtual railcam called in and complained, however they were really cool and we blew the horn infront of them and allowed us to continue

@ then you guys must be very lucky to do stuff like this 😊

@ we are since the horseshoe curve is the best place to do it! Excellent acoustics, remote and if anyone does hear us, it’s far away where anyone doesn’t think about it.

Just a quick question, when are y'all gonna do a horn battle with one of the trains up there?
@NickSilcox314 сағат бұрын
@@GeorgiaRoadHD we always try to but none of them blow the horn back at us when they’re going around the curve
