Nathan actually learnt ballet for over 6 years at a young age. No wonder he is able to learn the dance so quickly. So much swag and style in his dance! If he is not a skater, he could be a professional dancer. Wow at Elton John producing the series. Both are GOAT - one is a music legend and the other is a skating legend Nathan Chen. @ws Oh it's 9 years? I read that his ballet training was about 6 years. As much as I would like to see him getting another Olympics gold, it would be a waste for a Yale grad to be a figure skater. He also wants to continue in med school, so the next time we see him, he will likely be Dr Nathan Chen. A smart person like him would want to be intellectually challenged.

@ws Oh I see. Wow 9 years is really long. He really has the passion and endurance to learn it as a kid. I think being an orthopaedic specialist might suit him since it is related to treatment of sport injuries and he said he wishes to still be involved with figure skating somehow.

@ws I think he's now saying that he doesn't really know what he wants to be doing in the future, he hasn't committed to anything quite yet. Maybe he won't leave the figure skating world completely, who knows?

Let's just hope that he might consider coming back for 1-2 more seasons after his undergrad before bidding a proper farewell to competitive skating but if he already finds a new interest by then, we can only wish him the best.
