Can someone tell me why this performance scored less points than the one in Men's single? I honestly couldn't tell any difference. I think the judges were so impressed with his consistency that they couldn't help giving him higher marks the second time.

Just overall everything was a smidge better in the individual event. Smoother 4F and 3A, more flow out of the 4Lz3T and better scores on spins and stsqs.

3A was better for one in the men's event. Spins were also better as was the overall performance.

If you watch the two programs side by side (use two different windows and sync the music) you can tell the difference. The spins in the singles event were faster and better than the ones here. The 3 axel was a little better too and the choreography seemed sharper. Like he was really feeling it more in the singles event. This one is great and the difference is splitting hairs, but the most noticeable difference is the spins.
