Nathan Fillion is originally from Edmonton , Alberta , Canada . He left here after high school to work in the New York theatre community . Both of his parents were teachers . He is well thought of here because he helped out the theatre community after one of the local theatres burnt down . ( Edit - He left here after university .)

I love this guy!!! Nathan Fillion seem so genuine, talented, funny and nice! I like him on 'Firefly', 'Serenity', 'Castle' and of course, 'The Rookie'. I hear he was gonna play Angel back then, and I'm glad they chose David Boreanaz instead of him because it's hard to picture him playing as a vampire with a human soul. All in all, love Nathan Fillion!

Sam Jones they fired Stana Katic because he did not get along with her behind the scenes. She was a huge part of the show and I think he thought the show could go on with just him as the star... ratings had been going down anyways and there was a huge backlash firing Stana so they cancelled it and they made the right decision IMO.

Neha Jain that’s the official story from ABC but it’s widely known relations soured between Nathan and Stana. Not to mention they fired the only 2 POC actors on the show right before they announced the cancelation. Also in Nathan’s statement about Stana leaving the show (before the cancelation was official) it was very clear he no longer had a good relationship saying “he wished her well” and nothing more.
