Nathan MacKinnon scores 4 goals and now leads the NHL in points and MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen both tally 5 POINTS EACH. Mikko Rantanen isn't surprised Nathan MacKinnon is so elite. Nathan MacKinnon: 24 game home point-streak, 4 goals, and a 5 point night. Also MacKinnon on the standing ovation and MVP chants, "I mean, I've heard them before and I've never won MVP, so it doesn't mean much, but obviously the fans are very supportive."

I 100% agree. It’s hero worship. Most people, including reporters, focus on 1 star and don’t realize that there are other players integral to success.

Rants is the best player on like 22 or more teams. So amazing to have him be maybe our 3rd best player. Maybe best passer in the league.

I agree and that's obviously noDISRESPECT to Nate but Mikko deserves his RESPECT. I liked how both players talked respectfully and appreciative of each other but I feel like you could sense Mikko was thinking; "Fuck if you want to ask so many Nate questions why didn't you ask him??"

What an absolute blessing it is to have Mac and Jokic playing in the same arena at the same time. Truly the best place to watch these sports right now is in the city of Denver. It's not gonna last, people - enjoy it while you can!

Name another pro league where a guy After a historic night that will be all over the highlight reels and won't be soon forgotten, surrounded by the press comparing him to one of the sport's all-time greats, in classic NHL style, Nate's joking about not getting his hopes up, and tossing souvenirs to the fans. Just another day's work. Nate, Your play on the ice will earn first star of the week and probably the month, but for that interview alone, you deserve another Lady Byng. Sakic was the last one to win the Byng and the Hart in the same year. I wouldn't get my hopes up, but...

@@emil6685 , you get points for assists as well. I’m just saying if he played with the same aggressiveness as Nate, he’d possibly be the league leader in points- by a lot.Mikko has a tendency to float and defer. I LOVE Mikko. I just would like to see him not take shifts off, which he does at times.
