I just recently got your music recommended to me. This was the first song I got because I like drawing and looking at artwork of dragons, so I opened the video not knowing that these powerful lyrics were on the other side. As a devout Christian and a person who has had some sickening things happen, these songs hit right close to home. I consistently listen to the music and have them in my world building and work music playlists Another reason might have been I added a lot of songs from Brandon Lake and Soul Extract which may have also updated and cause the algorithm to give me this song. Killer song, Nathan. Knew this was gonna be another banger the moment I heard that short clip. If I may, this one really got me wanting you to make another run at the chorus at the end. You know, just ending it with peak screaming "YOU'RE SO COOOOLLDDD!!!" & "WITH MY GHOOOOSTTT!!!!". But hey, thats just me. The chorus is just SO GOOD! 😄 Its always such a treat to listen to your songs. Aside from them being my jam, its always fun to come up with stories for each of them. Each song is a piece of interconnected stories. i.e. 'Guilt' feels like a good prequel for 'The Outcast'. Both have similar instrumental arrangement, with the difference being their tone. 'Guilt' feels more dark while 'The Outcast' feels more hopeful as the character is getting closer to achieving redemption.

That ending (4:10 onward) is incredible! I was having a jolly old time listening to a really cool song with great, gritty vocals and then you snuck up and whacked me in the heart with a lyrical baseball bat! (In a good way of course.) I honestly rewind just the end sometimes it's so good! The pain is just so beautifully vivid and heartbreaking! I used to struggle with guilt a lot myself, I would try to be perfect to make up for my mistakes. I'll never forget, in Biblical counseling I mentioned being unable to forgive myself and I was told something like "Who are you to put your own forgiveness above God's?" Truth be told at first I was offended, but upon reflection I realized they were right, I was far too prideful! After that I was slowly able to accept that when I ask God for His forgiveness, I'm forgiven, no further thought about myself required. Obviously there are situations where it's slightly more complicated than that, but I used to rack myself with guilt over spilled milk, so this was huge for me! 😅
