Winter SUV Camping in Washington - Living in my 4Runner

I spend a few slow days in my 4th gen 4Runner in Olympic National Park; camping, hiking, and sightseeing. I grew up out here and have spent most of my life wandering these forests. This is as much a camping video as it is a love letter to the wild places such as Olympic, a place I hold dearly. I hope you enjoy!

i come out here all the time. While i dont see it in a romantic way like in this video, it's a great place to have some peace and quiet and catch some fish in peaceful river spots. The drive here just sucks because it's a few hours out.

For some reason that spot looks familiar when I was out there exploring last year in the evening with my campfire I was able to get a picture of a shooting star. It’s a great area.

It’s possible you camped nearby or at the same spot! It’s right on the Hoh and outside the national park. One of my new favorite spots for sure, love being so close to the river

Yes, there is some really nice spots by Rivers out that way that are great on a nice clear night to see the moon and stars there a nice hill side spot out by hood sport wa that has a nice view of hood canal

I'm from Georgia but come out regularly each year to walk into the Olympics to set up my hammock and just soak in the beauty, greenery, and the awesome peace and quiet. If I could, like you I would live in my Land cruiser if I had to just to call the Olympics my home. Only thing holding me back is the wife has no desire to live there! Hopefully one day I can buy a few acres put a small shelter on it and do short stays.

It’s all I drink and tastes so much better to me than regular coffee plus it’s easy to make and can be hot or cold. Great for camping. Looking forward to more of your wonderful videos.

Aww thank you!! I have tried bustello and it’s def one of my favs. I keep instant around as a backup for when I run out of beans since I’m in the wilderness for quite a while and there’s no nearby stores to get whole beans. Also sometimes I don’t wanna hassle with making coffee so instant it is!

Great content, how the hell do you not have more subs? Anyway, butter has a low smoke point so if you add some oil that has a higher smoke point it will keep the butter from burning. Just a suggestion

I built my platform low just so I could sit up! I don’t have a build video but when I redo my build later this year, I’ll be making a video of that. I’ll be making it even lower to be able to sit up better.

If you don't know already , it seems like your tires are too big for your suspension. Maybe time to upgrade you a toyota sequoia. I have a first gen so much space. You migh😢 be supris🎉

Oh they do look a little big cause I have no lift but they don't rub at all! I'll be putting a suspension lift on at some point cause my spring and shocks are pretty tired. A Sequoia is enticing but I've got my eyes on a couple different Toyota 4x4's for an upgrade

It’s cold for sure but I love it! I use way less power keeping everything running, mainly my fridge. The worst part so far has been keeping the humidity down but I just run the AC more now
