The authenticity of your reactions is such a big part of what drew me into your channel. I've really grown super sick of the fake, overblown "thumbnail face" type reactions that just chase the biggest whatever (not saying those cant be authentic sometimes too but generally I just can't get into it anymore). But you guys, even though more muted than some of those channels, feel so much more genuine and passionate in the way you respond to the music, and your commentary reflects that too. It feels like watching actual people who just really dig this kind of music, and I think that's super infectious. And the banter is hilarious. This song coming out is totally what got me into Novelists a week ago, love everything they've done with Camille so far, need an album or EP or just more music asap! Such a tune

I personally call it "Reaction Face" so whenever I see those thumbnails it's an automatic "get out of my recommendations"

@@DegraTrip Yea I get that. At times it feels more like someone waiting for a dopamine hit than engaging with the content. Obviously the reaction face thumbnail has become almost necessary for success due to the algorithm, and behind that can still a cool reaction but it just feels very unappealing to me

This song surprised me in so many ways. It didn't follow a typical formula that you'd hear in this space and I need to hear more of this in 2025. That was great!

Aside from being catchy as f**k, it's the combination of the super poppy elements and the progressive structure that make it stand out. We've seen lots of metal bands adding pop elements, but not often does pop and and progressive metal get put together. Sleep Token might be the only other well-known band that do it, but it much less consistent than this new era of Novelists.

You do them for the love of the music, how it makes you feel and right now Novelists is just absolutely killing it! Not a criticism, just wanted to say something about your audio has been off the last couple videos - mics don't sound as clear and hearing background noise/whurring? Other than that, loved the video! I'm still split on if i enjoy this song personally, but I honestly can't put my finger on why.
