Just watched them live last night in MN and it’s was epic. So many old bangers they played from what separates me from you and when you see this song live it’s not bad at all ❤️🤘

I, like many FYS fans stopped listening after the release of INWSOF. Dropping the synths and the overall change in style lost the sound they were known for. They’ve continued to make great music, but it wasn’t the same music that got me into the band (Rise or Die was a life changing album for me and I still have the 10 year anniversary edition on heavy rotation). I think ISWSOF is what changed the trajectory of the band, as they were gaining massive traction after Enemy of the World. But these last three singles have me so excited to listen to FYS again, I hope they have huge success with this new album.

So... pop punk with breakdowns to Dad Rock with breakdowns isn't really that much of a change over an almost 20 year career. It's probably taken me a full week to understand that fully. Song is catchy and fine for what it is.

I'll always enjoy the old stuff for the fun it was at the time. But i think the biggest problem i have with this song and most of the newer stuff they do is that it just feels like they've never been able to evolve into anything new like their peers

You can say that people get too upset when their fave bands 'change', but when they change into a style that's been done to death, it's valid to be upset. The '4 on the floor' standard kick-drum pattern in the verses is so so boring, the whole 'strip out the guitars' for the verses is such basic song writing. ADTR are musically changing, but they're changing into safety, it's not pushing any boundaries, from a band that used to push them. This song is cringey and disappointing.

This could be said for any band in any genre though. Just look how mad people got when architects, parkway drive and bring me the horizon had big shifts, just to name a few.

Wage War is a fantastic band, like ADTR, who hail from Ocala FL. In fact, it was Jeremy Mc Kinnon who partly launched them ;)

So here's my 2 cents with this song and this band: This band - we know how talented these guys are. They gave us pure consistency from 2007 to 2016. But, for a band who clearly has nothing but time on their hands - recording wise - they've just been giving us a hot plate of mid, since 2020. This song isn't it. It's got a fun riff, some nice harmonics in the background, an okay/mid breakdown, and probably the worst-most repetitive chorus of their careers. This just doesn't sound like a cohesive song. It sounds like they were making a 30-second track for a Ford commercial, and then just put another 2 minutes of bullshit onto it. And we know Jeremy has an awesome voice... That bullshit production choice they used for him throughout this song, is just horrible and is probably one of the worst parts of the song. And also...WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS THAT ENDING!?!? When they signed to Fueled By Ramen in 2019/2020, the first thing that popped into my head was, "Oh no..." And sure enough...that's the same reaction their fan base has been giving them ever since. So, You're Welcome ADTR fans...this band does not care about y'all and is clearly letting another label push them around. There's my Feedback.

You couldn’t be more right. They’ve been my fav band since 2004. And to see what they have become the last few years is just sad. I don’t mind that they tried a different path. But that path has just come across as pure fcking laziness. If it wasn’t for ‘Miracle’ I would have zero faith in them now. The Fueled by Ramen signing was the worst decision they could’ve made. It’s like when your favourite sporting team absolutely suck now, fans need to keep voicing their negative opinions to hopefully get change. I hope that they see it all and they actually give us what the fans (who they’ve made their fair share of money off) really want.

I don't know how you make a song under 3 minutes that repetitive, it's definitely grown on me but it needed a slight verse change.
@K1NGD0M20 сағат бұрын
I thought it was ok, but I was expecting more. To go from Miracle to.. this? I was hoping to see the Momentum kept up from Miracle into a full banger of an album. Also, I didn't really like the lyrics. Too repetitive and you can tell that Cody from Wage War didn't write on this one, compared to Miracle.
