The fact that Stray Kids writes and produces each and every one of their songs themselves really makes their music that much easier to connect to. You guys should really check out the other songs on the album! Especially Venom an insanely HARD song that just dropped a music video today, Freeze is an amazing dubstep song and Muddy Water is 90’s boom bap rap! Really all the songs are amazing but those 3 would probably suit your tastes the most! You guys always have awesome reactions and I know Chan is happy as hell to see other aussies reacting to their stuff. Tysm!

you'd actually be surprised how many metalheads are kpop fans. i personally am both a metalhead and a kpopper. grew up listening to metallica because of my parents, nu-metal and ska like korn, limp bizkit, linkin park, and slipknot due to my older brother's influence. then discovered kpop during my 2008 weeb phase when i was 14. i still indulge in both metal and kpop, and i always will (both my ultimate favourite genres). i think it's because of how hard hitting it gets. how chaotic the songs can sound. and it reminds me of the energy you'd hear during blastbeats and breakdowns. i actually had this discussion with a metalhead friend last week. she checked out some of my favs and also enjoyed it. kpop is crazy. like genuinely. how do you get people who listen to honky tonk country music to cannibal corpse listening to a bunch of pretty people sing and rap about empowerment and love? lol.

"Wondering what the bird has to do with it? The song is called maniac, everything in this mv references back to that word. The drill is something psychiatrist used to use for lobotomies back in the day to "fix"insanity. The bird references the book One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, a book set in an insane asylum. They reference screws because when you are different or odd you say you have a few screws loose, and this song is about unleashing your inner true self so they reference Frankenstein because he created the monster who in reality is a reflection of his true self. The two worlds in the mv represents the fake world we live in and mask ourself in while the dark shift world is our inner self constantly hidden. Stray Kids never do anything half way and Nothing is ever random; every aspect, image, choreography, reference has meaning. 3RACHA are producing geniuses. Period." If the rapping in Korean impresses you you should feel extra impressed by Felix (blonde deep voice Australian guy). When he started with the group he had only just started learning Korean- his first language is English. He had to learn the language and rap in it from early on and used to spend ages getting the lyrics right. Now only an handful of years later his Korean is so good. This man really had a dream and learned a whole other language to achieve it. Also- they just dropped a video for Venom today which is an excellent song off the new album, I highly recommend it.

It''s great seeing you again and this time with Stray Kids. Its actualy really nice to listen to Skz with fellow Ausies. Loved the concept of the MV and the lyrics really hit home. 🔥 The Oddinary album has 7 tracks and one of them - Muddy Water gives me the vibe of the golden age of Ausie Hip-hop/Rap, when the likes of Hilltop Hoods were on the scene and I love it. Admitedly I like all the tracks on the album.😆 If you are interested and end up checking it out, would love to know what you think. 🌞 It's only a track at the moment and I don't know if there will be an MV , but I think it might be one of my favourites in the album at the moment. And ofcourse it has a surprise in true Skz fashion. The start of the track is let's say, a little unexpected and it's even more fun because of it. 🤘

The reason Skz are one of my favourite groups is the fact that they write and produce all of their own stuff (one of the Aussies is actually part of the production unit). That’s why it’s even more impressive for them to have a self-produced kpop mini album reach number 1 on Billboard

Thank you for the video!!! Stray Kids doesn't really dip into metal, but they DO dip into rock sometimes! So if you're interested at all: - Awaken (this is their hardest rock song, I think) - ROCK - CHEESE (rock + hip hop + EDM) - SLUMP (alternative rock?) - Lonely St (rock + EDM) - Waiting For Us (alternative rock) I might've missed some but those are off the top of my head!

I never thought about Our Last Night covering a kpop song, but yeah, Id really love that. There are by far enough English versions for them to do just that - since Korean might just be a tad bit too much to ask. There is a group that Stray Kids look up to especially Leader Bang Chan (his birth name is Christopher) one of the Aussie guys is Monsta X they are very heavy and loud like Stray Kids. They have a lot of songs out but if your looking at newer stuff look for Rush Hour, Love Killa, Gambler. Member Jooheon can play drums there is a stage performing where he plays them in it for every concert too while fellow rapper IM raps along with Jooheon is play. Stray Kids from day 1 wanted a dark concept and I am glad they stuck with it.
