These POV videos with no designed aesthetically pleasing shots and musical accompaniments are my favourite videos of yours. You get to feel what it might be like, and you get to see just how frigging fast you are going on a wave, how frigging big that wave is, hear the thunder of the wave as it curls and hits the ocean and so on. Not to say your other vids are not good, they are, but these really are my favourite 🙂 WOW!!! Please get better soon 😘

I was nearly drowned in a white wash, being held down and dragged along the bottom and beaten out of breath, at Kirra AU. The waves were tiny in comparison. Prayers your back will heal super quickly you legend. Thank you for sharing and scaring! ❤

Your POV videos are always my favorite on your channel- I just wish someone could think of a GoPro that doesn’t distort the size of these waves and does these waves justice
@stmcgarret2 жыл бұрын
Agree on both points.

A wide angle is necessary to capture first person POV shots. If the lense wasn't distorted to bend the light to allow more visual space captured into the frame, you'd have a crappy zoomed in shot of a tiny portion of the ride. The wide angle actually does a better job at providing the view closer to your eyes peripherals and what Nate is seeing even if the edges are out of focus to him. Your eyes are curved just like that lense, just not as dramatically

Hope you recover well after that slam. Would really love to see a tail mounted GoPro angle looking down the line on these massive swells to see out of the barrel and see the big Jaws bowls from behind your feet. That would be insanely cool. Since the tail pad's far up enough on those guns it should fit right?! Yew Nate Dawg hard charging big wave legend rest up well!
