How cool - a dozen hardcores in the lineup taking turns, everyone getting their waves......almost how surfing used to be! This was a stark comparison to some other place we see a lot of......

Rarely get to see shipies so clean and perfect, when I think of shipies I think of 5ft step-downs on a thick terrifying slab. But its so much more then that when the right conditions roll through

Really like this, proper surfer perspective, no music no bullshit blah blah, first time I get an idea of what the wave is about. Great glassy conditions n icey water

Brilliant. Psycho StEp! Surfers will appreciate these raw uploads because of the immersion. You get to see/hear/feel all of what is going on - glimpsing late drops from behind the peak, the encouragement, the build, the power, the hard work, paddleouts, crash n burns. All stuff film editors normally edit out. More power to you for that reason. Was that clean Shipsterns or what!!?

Thanks I appreciate you for showing me a surfer's prospective I realize a GoPro can never truly capture the intensity but with you looking at the shore the incoming sets and the sky I get a real sense of the waves speed and amplitude words can't not describe what this means to me.

@@thebarracksheritagecentrec3209 haha oh man I am very well aware xD My wife ain't too keen on the idea since we have a 1 month old baby. But I feel learning to surf already makes me feel free and in tune. Cant wait till I am able to ride a nice big face. I am looking for that ultimate moments of freedom where you don't feel anything. Its just you and the wave with the power of mother nature. I am currently only able to surf 2x a month. Wonder if its enough so I can get consistent with popup and actually riding an unbroken wave, what do you think? Currently practicing popup with white water >.
