Yeah that paddle out at that spot looks super sketchy, especially your first time there and with just you guys, no support team. And it just looks Sharky. I'd be super nervous paddling out in situations like this.

Paddling beasts are insane.! I had a surf teacher, that would paddle quicker than me if I was grabbing on to his foot and he was paddling, than me paddling on my own! And I was on a foam board at the time! That's insane..

Wow! This wave is one if not the most dangerous and difficult wave in Portugal... Sending people to the hospital all the time. The boils in the face are extremely difficult to navigate through. But you make it looks so easy...So as the paddle out, human Yamaha motor man! You're a legend Nat!🏆👏🤙🏄

I fell off a 3rd story balcony in 2014, and my last wave was at Avellanas CR in 2015... I miss the water terribly. This POV is the best thing for me. It helps me to relive what was the greatest feeling in my life. Thanks!

Nathan I love following along with your journeys you live the life all of us imagine. may I suggest that my favorite videos of yours are the ones that switch from the beach to the wave shot showing perspective, then back to your POV in a connected sequence not in separate videos. I think that GoPro should work with you and do some crazy algorithm so that the perspective of the wave is more accurate in that fisheye because it's hard to see how insane your drops are or how big the waves are from the GoPro but still super awesome shots to see your perspective

It looks warbly thick and crazy with the fisheye so can't imagine what it was like in person. They tried to have a cam at this spot for a year or so and I don't think I ever saw anyone out. Man portugal is so blessed with amazing surf spots.

Nate, you should be called "the test pilot" or "the guinea pig" lol. You're alway either first out or one of the first, then after people see you getting barrelled off you head, the number of people in the water gradually increases. Early bird catches the worm! You're a charger dude 👍
