@Spacething74742 жыл бұрын
Estimating the amount of games on here, I'd say roughly a 3rd of the Gamecube library has this mark, so it'd be fine cause of the large inconsistentcy. Now the Wii library on the other hand, barely has 100 games on this budget design choice, so that's something that would annoy them.

Honestly, I don't care if it's player's choice or not, if it's cheaper all the better, as long as it's complete in box.
@peterthompsoncomedy2 жыл бұрын
@@TheJadeFist yup. Half the time I don’t even mind if the manual is missing. Had the chance to buy a complete Sonic Adventure 2 at a shop the other day, but they also had the player’s choice with no manual for $15 cheaper. I played it all the time as a kid and don’t need any instructions; in this case, that $15 is more valuable to me than the manual/black label version ;) Plus, as Nathaniel pointed out, the manual for that game is in black and white anyway. I’m sure many would disagree with me, and I get that too. Obviously, if I had a complete collection and had the choice to switch all the yellow labels for black ones free of charge, I would take it… but those are both crazy hypotheticals.

Actually, I think there is a reason for the order the Adventure games are listed in: they’re going by release order. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was released first in late 2001 and early-mid 2002 depending on region, likely because that was the latest mainline game (Sonic Advance was released the same day as SA2B in Japan), while SADX was released in mid 2003, so when going by their GameCube release dates, these games _are_ in order. EDIT: Also, while it's true that Animal Crossing was meant for the N64 DD, it was first released on the N64 itself in Japan, then it got a port to the GameCube, which is just how the West was introduced to the series.

Oh my gosh... so many games in here that I haven't thought about in years. You're making me want to get out my gamecube and play pac-man world 2! that one really was an underrated platformer, and the classic arcade was an awesome addition that really enhanced the overall play experience and gave you incentive to keep playing by requiring you to collect tokens to unlock games. So good. One of my friends had a gameboy advance cable, and we used it to play pac-man versus once (the only time I ever played it). It was fun, basically just a twist on pac-man where you can play as a ghost or as pac-man, so it has actual multiplayer functionality. Plus, it was narrated by Charles martinet, which was an odd but fun little surprise.

to stop spending paper and that put digital manuals on a dematerialized file (basicaly since PS3/360/Wii U) was easier and way cheaper to do only the wii kept paper manuals (although got shorter over time) because the console and discs were still a bit behind in terms of memory (and that read a manual with a wiimote would've been pain but yea i miss the time (especially during gamecube/PS2 Era) when the manuals were printed and were filled with tips and advanced instructions (and not just the game setting and controls) and even bother adding stuff just to fill lore or get in the vibe of the game it's from nowadays at best you get a control sheet and for the rest it's a digital manual with often pretty bland content and to not help they're hard to notice and easy to glance over
@EmergencyChannel2 жыл бұрын
Manuals are obsolete, their function was to explain the games story, explain how to play and sometimes they had a few tips. They were required because games were primitive and had limited memory for storytelling. Modern games don't need manuals, most games are story based and explain their stories via cutscenes and most modern games have interactive tutorials that explain the game better than any manual could. Art books in special editions are the evolution of manuals.

9:52 I hate to be that guy but slight correction, it's just a remake of MGS1. Still a fun game though albeit having really weird over the top action oriented cutscenes that felt like the Matrix

I nearly screamed when you held four swords adventures in your hand. It's the only Zelda game i have yet to play, given how obnoxiously pricy it gets at times. Copies, in germany, that are not littered with scratches, easily go above 110 Euros. Same goes for Kirby Air ride, two games i have to one day get, i did buy Paper Mario 2 a few years back after saving up for it a bit, cause of how steep the prices got.

"That's my video about Player's Choice Gamecube games. Did you like it? Great! If not, I'm sorry." 11/10 Most beautiful ending to a video I've seen in years

The domino sequence with all the game cases is so satisfying to watch. Great start to a video.

My guess as to why the games are in the order they are in the sonic adventure box is that sa2 came out before sadx on gamecube

I can tell you the reason why the artwork is out of order on the back of the sonic adventure pack, the gamecube releases were in the opposite order, Sonic Adventure 2: battle, was released in 2001, before Sonic Adventure DX which was released in 2003
