One thing I love a lot about the Newer hacks, which isn't as present in the DS version but is still a thing, is that each level 'leads' into the next, especially on the Wii version, like how the end of the first desert level takes you into a pipe dungeon where all the other world 2 levels up to the mid-boss are, and how the first haunted level is snow-themed because its transitioning from the snow world
