I think this is just proof that despite being an incredibly skilled rapper that doesn't equate to direct success. While it definitely helps, especially with the hip-hop heads, being good at marketing is just better than being good at rapping, success wise.

You're like a not corny watsky. I love it
@fernandosobrino31188 жыл бұрын
soccerguitarmex IMO Watsky has a corny/good song ratio of 1/3, so I can probably pass it off as being porpousefully corny, which I dig. And I actually enjoyed his last album. He seems much more grown, albeit with a few songs I can't do but skip.
@bloodmoonphoenixrising80498 жыл бұрын
julio sobrino in his last album you mean yeah there was some i just had to skip and he is really random with his music video where for some reason at the end he just gets abducted or something. But yeah it was a good album and I would say they're both corny but different kinds he's a more open with it and this guy is honestly just funny his lines go together so well it just works so I wouldn't really even call it that kind of corny or i wouldn't really call it cheesy I guess. ever listen to spose spelled something like that?
@fernandosobrino31188 жыл бұрын
Old Soul Persona Yeah, i've heard of Spose, honestly I find him the most mature, he knows how to put an album together and keep a theme, but, I just can't get myself to listen to him very much, I just feel something is off; his flow isn't something I enjoy. (Then again, I learned to appreciate Zack Sherwin for his writing) I feel Jarv's lines are so far very much play on words/rhymes composed of several words, even when his tooics aren't great but I like his vocabulary and overall writing, it's genius, and his flow is truly great. Watsky is just fast and puts many over-your-head metaphores that hit you with the "holy shit dude" moment, given, it's mostly with some really predictable rhymes.
@penisparkerdeviloflamps79795 жыл бұрын
I feel like Watsky is corny now and again for shits and giggles. Pretty similar style though, you're right
