I love the story writing and how the song doesn’t come to a conclusion cause it’s like you remain stuck in the moment she was painting and will still be there forever. Many people wanted an ending in the song but I love how it ends abruptly and doesn’t conclude cause it’s literally like you are stuck on the moment she painted. Such a brilliant song 💕

I know what she talks about in the song is one Situation but when you've had repeated truama (especially in childhood) you don't grow the same so you do always feel stuck. I think it's worth understanding that this song can be understood as an insight into various traumatic experiences that shapes how people so or don't move forward in life. I think in some ways she isn't saying that she never moved on. I think she is saying that this moment fundamentally changed the person she would have been before the moment. So the self that was happy just before the breakup is over now. That self is finished now. And that one part of her is going to say frozen in her forever. It's really, really sad, but it resolves the narrative well in the last song, (it's)time to go.
