Great videos Nathan. My question, there is a black plastic clip in the middle of a e39 door panel, what is this called and where can I get one? I bought my e39 and someone had preformed work on the panel, either lost or forgot to reinstall it. Keep up the great work Thx Dave

The number one reason why MOST people break a peace of trim or panel whenever taking something apart or removing a door panel is because, they do NOT take the time. Whenever you're removing a panel or trim to change out a burned out bulb or window motor and the trim isn' coming loose, instead of forcing it, take the time to look for a screw or fastener. Or, the car is at a mechanic's repair shop and that person just doesn't care, because it isn't their car. The mechanic breaks a peace of trim or something and says, oh well, screw it, the owner will never notice that it's broken. That is why I'd rather do the job myself rather take it to someone else who don't care.

My E38 drivers door won't open by outside or inside handle. I assume part of the linkage has broken. Can I remove panel with door closed? Or can I remove the leather trim insert above arm rest/door handle and access mechanism?

is the outside handle broken? i have seen the outside handle stuck before and locking the door from opening

it doesn't seem broken. Door doesnt open with interior handle but button goes up.Could it be stuck in deadlock?

Sit in the seat and when its unlocked use your shoulder to push against it, on the e46 cars a failed gm5 module will do this
