Hi guys! "Some woman" here lol, what i meant about seeing Phillips face was, he tries the rations as well and sort of comments on them, would be nice if he appeared on camera once in a while. But anyways i have to hand it to you, as much as you dislike onions you still try everything and give an honest review! Most of that looked good! Keep up the great work ! That kind of not sour Sauerkraut is just roasted cabbage more than anything else. Sometimes carrots thrown in. It's a popular soviet/post soviet Russian/Ukrainian side dish. Usually a lot of salt in it, sometimes Carraway or Dill. Rarely vinegar loaded. Folks from old soviet states really do love their roasted cabbage.

This veggie ration is interesting. There are a lot of fast days in the Orthodox Church when you can't eat meat or dairy. So these veggie rations are probably produced more than you think.

The reason for SO MUCH FOOD, is vegetables are less calorically dense. Vegetarians have to eat more to hit the same numbers a meat eater can hit with a single cheese burger.

Something i have always wondered about. How does your body react to only eating MRE? I read somewhere that a man ate it for 21 days and he was really sick from it.

I'm retired military and I've known a few folks who have had to eat them for a few months. A couple of them.... well, no one got physically sick, but trust me they were sick & tired of eating freaking MREs.

If they are carefully put together, you shouldn’t get sick…..they should give you all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that you need.

Those aren't triple zeroes, they are 'ltd' in Russian. So the manufacturer of this MRE is 'Specpit Ltd.' Specpit meaning - special foods.

I'd be really careful when eating mushroom dishes at russia. They sometimes use mushrooms that aren't safe to eat in greater quantities at least. Glad its a small portion.
