Good video, just want to point out the engine code is CKRA for the Passat because it uses DEF (adblue) CJAA is the engine in the Jetta and Golf's that don't use DEF. One more thing, only use oil that has the VW 507.00 specification on it because those are low ash producing oils that wont clog up the DPF in the exhaust (really important). I use Liqui Molly Top Tech 4200 in my Passat. Apart from that keep up the good work.

Agree great point… need to use VW 507.00 spec oil, I like Castro Edge LL and Liq Moly 4200 is great, it burns clean and designed for 10k intervals, but I do 7500

Did a bunch of services on these engines as they were used in Linde forklifts for a few years. Timing belts super easy as access was good. Would pull the cam to replace cam seals, check and replace lifters as well. Would get equivalent 500,000 miles out of them. Thank you for making these videos. Mike

That oil filter has to be one of the hardest ones to access and remove. I dread oil changes on my car. I actually loosen one end of my EGR tube as well. If not you just cannot get it out.

One of the advantages of reducing the oil change interval is that you can easily afford to use a pump in the dipstick hole to remove the old oil with less fear that you might only get 95% of the old oil out.

Could you not have used an oil extractor to empty it?. Just pop it in the hole with the dipstick and extract it from there.., no need to take the floorplan off - You are done in 20 mins..
