@MrTomCattt The only remaining legitimate original Saturn V rocket is at Kennedy in Florida. It was destined to be for the final mission, Apollo 18, but that mission never happened. If there is one in Houston, it is a mock-up of the Saturn V types or possibly of the earlier or later Saturn rockets, i.e. Saturn VI or Saturn VII.

I'm realizing most of these museums or stores you go to in your videos I go there within the next few months. For instance in 2010 you made a video at B&H Photo in NYC, I showed up there two weeks later and I loved every minute of it.

I love how your dad's name is John. Unless your mom said "hun" or you were jonny or something, it must have been a little confusing growing up. If you come to Kalamazoo be sure to check out the Air Zoo. Free admition, you just need to pay for the simulators.

I remember when I was really young going to this place. It was awesome! Plus, I used to live there in Chantilly, VA! Only about a year ago did I move here to California from Chantilly. :)

Lucky bastard. I was here like 5 years ago but i couldn't properly tour this place because of my stupid 12 year old cousin crying all the time not havinh his way

There is another problem - I'm not that diehard fan, so that I would go to Smithsonian museum and the Annex all by myself. You at least have someone who won't say "Meh, it's not that good and it would cost money to fly there and I don't' have time blah blah blah"... Sorry, I got carried away. Well, it's in my bucket list to visit Smithsonian, all of it! So maybe one day... :)

This hangar was used in one of the transformers movies. The SR-71 actually transformed. I don't know if it is still there but the last few times I went, most recently five weeks ago, they had a video playing that explained how they made the shot. It is really cool to see one of my favorite youtubers at my all-time favorite museum!

John I know you are probably busy but I think it would be pretty great if you would do a World According to Jon based on the Batman premiere shooting. For all I know you could be working on the video now but while I was not affected by it, I'm sure the families that were would appreciate it. Thanks! ^_^

I remember passing the USS Intrepid which is a former aircraft carrier located in NY, now it's a museum. I saw a YF-12 which was pretty much a prototype SR-71 from what I understand. I didn't get to go on it, they hadn't opened for the day yet plus it was a band trip.
@February5412 жыл бұрын
This hangar is actually(officially) called Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center :) Too bad I live 700 miles away... Will you go visit the Atlantis at Kennedy Space Center when it opens in 2013? Or do we need to live through the end of the world first? :DD

Great video. Went there on a class trip to Washington DC. Place is amazing. Almost got someone sick in the flight simulator. Sad to know someone beat me at being the youngest person to crash my dads computer installing Flight Simulator (10 years old)

For a second I thought that was Megan Fox in the plane at 0:41. Kinda reminded me of a scene from Transformers 2. Did a double take and realized it wasn't, but still. I wish I could go to as many awsome places as you do Jon; maybe in the future I will.

Awesome video! I'd love to go to DC someday and see some of the museums/monuments you featured in your vlogs. If you ever visit Chicago, it would be awesome if you did some videos about the great museums there.

I want to go there SOOOO bad now... thank you for posting this! And yeah, the Saturn V is enormous... they have one in a hangar in Johnson Space Center... took me 5 minutes to walk the length of that beauty and back
@February5412 жыл бұрын
Well you drove 500 miles, because you had other business there, not just visiting a big hangar with a lot of planes :D I would have to drive 700 miles just for that. And it seems a bit excessive to me :)

I went to the Smithsonian Museum Of Air & Space's annex last year, and I went there in style. Because I am a pilot I flew me and my family there in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. We stayed in D.C. for a weekend.

The only thing I hate about this museum is fact that there's a ton of balconies, and I'm terrified of heights.

I did not know this hanger existed, I thought Discovery was put in the main building in DC, I now must make it a mission to visit this place next time I visit the Smithsonian.

I really appreciate how you take the time to do your vlogs. You don't just take several clips and put them all together, like most KZbinrs who never make it big, and never know why.
