If I have bulky legs, will this help me to get lean legs?
@madisonturner6845 жыл бұрын
Arrr if you have bulky legs I suggest 1) stretching 2) incorporate cardio - maybe walking often and/or running but on flat incline 3) if you already have bulky legs quite a few of these exercises will probably just give you more muscle in your quads 🤷♀️

you can't get legs like this unless your body fat is like 12% (which is what most ballet dancers are) all the "sculpting" in the world wont make you look like a ballet dancer unless you can get rid of the fat obfuscating it.

Her quads are lean mainly because of genetics and low body fat from dancing a lot. None of these exercises will get you those legs. As a ballerina, you certainly don’t need any of these exercises to develop quad strength. To do everything technically correct, a ballerina will develop strength in quads anyways. These exercises shown in video will bulk up your legs and they are unnecessary for dancers unless you just want to exercise, then sure.

Fiona no these are perfect for dancers. It is very hard for women to get “Bulky”. And if you do a little stretch after these exercise you will get those legs

I’ve been doing the ballet barre workouts for a few months and my legs are definitely gaining a shape like a dancer’s. I’m far from a dancer especially a ballerina! Lol! I’m a size 16 (going into a size 14! Yaaaay!!!) black woman over 40. My thighs are slimmer (not bulking) and my quads, hams, and calves are becoming nicely defined doing these type of exercises. So are my arms.(side note)

@@zenahlarge788 You don't know what the fuck you're talking about. It's all genetics. Some women are very bulky.

@@saltdancestudios Nothing "unnecessary" about informing people that someone who has the genetics for this body type has no business teaching people how to 'get' it. Plus, that person didn't say dancers shouldn't exercise, they said this particular exercise is not necessary.

It's worth mentioning that 99% of this girl's figure is down to great genetics (not exercise), and no amount of wall-sitting is going to fix poor genetics. Ballerinas aren't somehow magically transformed from Two-Ton Tessies into graceful swans, but are selected - from an early age - based on criteria that weed-out endomorphs, pears, thunder-thighs, etc etc. So by the time you begin training seriously you have a studio class full of scrawny, unusually supple ectomorphs. As time goes on, the less committed fall away, and you're left with the exceptional few who show drive, ambition, natural talent and good looks. It's a brutal and short career that takes a heavy toll on even these exceptional human physiques.

Not true.

99%? Now you're just coping and reaching for excuses. A lot of it is due to diet, exercise and having done ballet in her formative years (which affects your body's development down to your bones. The one thing that is down to genetics is her overall bone structure. Of course one won't exactly look like her with her diet and exercise regime but these exercises combined with her diet would give you more sculpted quads.
