the magic number for baking anything if not given a temp is 350 degrees F if your doing cupcakes then i would check in ten minute incriments, since its protein powder instead of flour, i just don't think it will bake up the same, hope that helps!

You could use a 1 cup measuring cup to fill the doughnut maker with! Would be a lot easier and you would be able to do it single handedly lol :)

So long as the stevia is unbleached, raw and pure (basically just the powdered leaves), it's the healthiest 'sweetener' to consume, and doesn't spike your blood sugar levels! Agave on the other hand, is processed in such a way that it's not actually a raw food, and closely resembles high fructose corn syrup. It seriously spikes the blood sugar levels and is best avoided. Do a search on 'agave' and 'blood sugar levels' & you'll find all sorts of good articles! :)

How does the dry ingredients (stevia & cinnamon) stick to the dry donuts? Also, anyone trying this recipe & aren't familiar with stevia, it's twice as sweet as sugar, so watch your portions. The pumpkin latte looks yum-yum, ladies. Nice video.

The coconut oil is a healthy fat which replaces butter, which is full of the artery clogging trans fat, it actually has LESS cholesterol in it because it skips the yolks of the eggs and only uses the protein packed whites, it also has less fat in it because of the almond milk instead of the fat and calories in cow's milk, and they are using the natural sweetener stevia that has less calories than sugar and is less detrimental to your health than artificial sweeteners. So what were you saying?
@missfernweh12 жыл бұрын
and on monday it's vegetarian day!! :)
@radiantchristina12 жыл бұрын
Lol...that was definitely not a teaspoon of stevia Karina added :)
@joe6060612 жыл бұрын
Just to clarify....this recipe skips the whole grain flour (complex carb) and instead drench honey all over the top (simple sugar)? These are basically high fat, cholesterol-infused protein lumps with some added simple sugar. And then people blame grains such as wheat or rice for getting fat, while sucking in 15 of these for breakfast trying to get full.
@CosmicDaisyHead12 жыл бұрын
use agave... but you're trying to say that these are high in fat and cholesterol, which they aren't. Coconut oil is better than most oils because it can aid in preventing heart disease, is easily digested, and is good for helping with weight lose. And no one told you to eat 10... Normal people would probably eat around 2. And at the end of the day, if you're craving a donut these are 10x better than the ones you get at krispy kreme.

has anyone tried the vegan version (with flax)? i am not sure what i did wrong... followed directions exactly. but the batter just ran all over the place and did not firm up :( so sad i wasted a whole cup of my perfect fit. batter tasted good though ;)

Watch it again, they're coated in honey. There is nothing in these donuts for satiety. All the carb are simple. The body runs on glycogen, from head to toe. Can't satisfy your hunger with fat and protein....long term you end up fat 10x from 10. You are pissing into the wind telling me these are less/low fat. Additionally, coconut oil is a processed food item, and is in no way to be considered "healthy." If you need fats in your diet, look to whole foods such as olives, seeds, walnuts.

i love karina and katrina and look up to them veru much but i agree with joe...im not going to be trying this recipe...it wouldnt satisfy me...would prob make me crave the real thing and id end up at dunkin donuts shoving my face ffull of pumpkin muffins.....mmmmmm pumkin muffins.. ill stick with oatmeal, greek yogurt, or their pancake recipe...its okay to not be a fan of everything and differ in opinion...these recipes are options not set in stone laws..
