Some really understood the assignment better than others. While not always the flashiest I appreciated competitors that included cultural dance or movements on the stage. Taiwan did not have the flashiest costume but he really told a story with his movements.

Best in natcos is indonesia. Brazil forgot his natcos so he made do with a common men's suit. Japan made sure that his baggage do not exceed the weight limit. Cheap barongs in baclaran or divisoria look more amazing than philippines natcos which looks plain and boring. Usa is a step ahead from his competitors bec hes already in sportswear competition.

Applauded the intentions of countries like Brazil and the Philippines to be historical and heritage allied! Sad to say they lack authenticity in their overall costumes. Brazil and the Philippine's trousers for example are for modern times ~ men in those times wore loose trousers ( check out latin tango dancers and ordinary South American street people who wore loose trousers to counter the heat humid atmospheres... not tight slim cuts worn nowadays. Same is true with a tropical country like the Philippines ~ indios wore light loose trousers for ventilation! Not to totally copy but inspiration takes note of authenticity too.. My ten cents worth, lang!

Indonesia or Thailand are my choices for national costume. Funny that both were reptiles. Haiti, Puerto Rico, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Trinidad and Venezuela presented really well. Switzerland's costume's was boring but that chocolate distribution was smart. I was hoping for a wardrobe malfunction for Haiti and Japan. Singapore's presentation was also beautiful; however, I couldn't wait for Belgium and Myanmar to exit stage right. Lots of warriors, gods and demons so it was refreshing to see Brazil as a scholar. Brazil is my overall winner for this pageant.
