Todd falling down the stairs reminds me somewhat of the accident prone baker in the Old School Sesame Street days(the “Let’s sing a song of a number from 1-10,”), the “Baker 1-10” films. In case you don't know, which many of you might not know, but in some old houses like that one, garages power outlets only work when the lights are turned on, this is because back then they cut corners and instead of having the power only flow to the lights and giving the outlets different wires to carry power, they made it to where it all has to go through the singular light switch which turns the lights on and off, causing the power to the entire garage to go on and off with the lights.

Not surprising, considering the outdated or old-fashioned forms of technology. Just like fuses being the antecedent to today’s circuit breakers-up until the mid-1980s, when circuit breakers were invented and fuses were in vogue, fuses worked something like light bulbs(in that they had to be replaced when blown, when overloaded.) Sometimes it could be very hard to figure out which fuse was the blown one. With today’s circuit breakers, however, it’s far easier-all you have to do is find the one that’s flipped out of place, flip it back in place and BINGO! power is now restored to that part of the house or building.

There's some editing errors seen here. In the overhead camera angles of the lit up house, you can see Eddie's RV parked in Clark's driveway. But at the scene 2 minutes later when Clark is beating the shit out of the Christmas decorations, the RV is nowhere to be found.
