FILM DESCRIPTION:
After winning a European vacation on a game show, Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) convinces his reluctant family to accompany him. His wife, Ellen (Beverly D'Angelo), is excited, but daughter Audrey (Dana Hill) is reluctant to leave her boyfriend behind, while teen son Rusty (Jason Lively) dreams of meeting girls. After arriving in London, the clan encounters one disaster after another as they travel through France, Germany and Italy, while Clark's attempts to cheer everyone up make things worse.

I guess the traditional Bavarian folk dances were too "tame", so they had to mix it up a little... 😁😁😁😁😁😁 Come to think of it, what are the traditional dances/music like in Northern Germany? I know a bit about the wooden shoe deal/farmer type dances in the Netherlands, Burt Kaempfert easy listening type music, along with Heinz Kiessling and Werner Tautz, the waltzes/polkas thing, classical guys like Schumann, Brahms, etc. Maybe some other stuff. But yeah, everyone thinks of Bavaria -the food, the traditional clothes, the scenery, the music and dance, the beer... Fewer thoughts of (Lower) Saxony, Hannover, the Rhineland/Nordrhein/Westphalia, Mecklenburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Brandenburg, Pomerania, Thuringia, Upper Saxony, Franconia/Hessia, Saarland, Swabia, etc.

This is a bavarian folk dance called "Schouplattla". It has nothing to do with the rest of Germany, especially the north. Remeber: Germany = a nation with many different cultures and languages (which Globalism, city hipsters, the German Media and Government seriously destroy). Bavarian = one of those, the one with the Oktoberfest and Lederhosn.
