If Conan learned German, he would be pretty good at pronouncing based on how he currently does just for fun.
@wilsonnester7508 жыл бұрын
I agree! Most comedians would be good at pronouncing other languages because they often have little fear of making a fool of themselves. I think the first step to learning how to speak like a german is to try to sound like a stereotypical german
@Widdekuu916 жыл бұрын
+Wilson Nah, it can backfire. My (Dutch) ex used to impersonate Germans his entire life, whenever he was fooling around with friends and drinking. He spoke through his teeth, lots of 'zzzzzzz'-noises. ' Instead of the actual 'schw' or 'ts.' (schweiz sounds like 'shw-aii-tss' in English pronounciation. His pronounciation would've been 'z-wai-zzzz.' Then one day, he moved to Germany and had to actually learn German to communicate with people. I remember how ashamed I felt for him, when he confidently walked into the sandwich-shop (after having told me that he knew how to speak German and 'díd not need my help!') and then proceeded to go drunk-Hitler-style on the sandwiches. "Ichzw...moohchtzwe...gerne...eine...ZZZZZZZZ-whiiii-behlehn....biiiiih-tte." And when they misheard it, pointing at the onions and going; 'zw-zw--...zzzzzwiiihbeleh!' We're talking about a 26 year old man here, bytheway, not a teenager. He had been taught German for 4 years in school.

That Old man is the best roaster to have ever roasted. Also why did one of the twins not have an accent
@amnofish8 жыл бұрын
You don't need to have an accent just because the national language isn't english. Listen to enough english speakers and you'll eventually speak the same.
@cephalonrolli56788 жыл бұрын
Victor Blixt ok so let me reverse that question. Why did one of the twins have an accent? Either they both do or both dont have an accent. If they live in the same area, they should sound the same.
@amnofish8 жыл бұрын
1. Who sais they live in the same area? 2. As far as we know, all they do thogether is dancing. Doesn't mean they don't have more and/or other interests or jobs that has led to one of them getting rid of his accent. 3. Just because they're twins doesn't mean that they have the same difficulty learning and immitating accents.
@casperix37416 жыл бұрын
Matt Tran Me and my sister are just like that too. I'm just more interested in foreign languages than her and i interact a lot online with English speakers. This has lead to a big difference in our accents. The guy could've also been an exchange student somewhere or something
@singenstattatmen50966 жыл бұрын
Matt Tran They are still separate people. By your logic, their dad should also speak better English... My (older) sister has a really strong accent and doesn't care much for English (only uses it when she has to) while I am completely immersed in British pop culture and speak with a very weak accent. That's life, man.

I sure hope Conan doesn't end up being the Pagliacci who sees the psychiatrist and gets told to see the clown, only to tell the psychiatrist that he was the clown. I mean, thinking about that joke now, what should be the psychiatrist's reaction? 1) Hooray! I got personal one on one time with Pagliacci, and he paid me! 2) Oh! Maybe clowns need mental health insurance. Let's see if I can offer my services to the clown association. 3) Ask Pagliacci for a signature. 4) Respect professional boundaries and treat Pagliacci like everyone else. 5) Prescribe Pagliacci with antidepressants so that he can make it to his job. 6) Refer him to a psychologist to do some CBT. 7) Write up a case study on clown mental health. 8) Something else. Look, I don't know the right answer. I don't even know if this is the right question. All I know is that I'm sure glad I'm not Pagliacci or the psychiatrist put on the spot. Because both scenarios would suck.
