Weather continues to plague GA pilots, contributing to nearly 25% of all accidents. Worse, this statistic has barely improved over the last 20 years. How do we break the cycle, end pilot discomfort with aviation weather, and increase pilot comfort with the go/no-go decision process? We’ll discuss these questions and more, as we talk about how to navigate Flight Service in 2023 and beyond.
Jeff Arnold is an Oklahoma State University graduate, has held flight instructor certificates for over 15 years, previously served as an adjunct instructor at Tarrant County College’s flight program, Program Manager for two large Flight Academies, and is a former Flight Service Weather Briefer & Air Operations Manager. Jeff currently serves as the Director of Innovation & Outreach for Leidos Flight Service.
