Yes, I am aware he is an Orthodox Jew, and no, I meant the Evangelical church. As an evangelical Anglican myself, I can testify to just how bad most of our preaching is. Preachers stay on comforting things like “Jesus loves you” (which is true) and “the point of Christianity is to get to heaven” (which is not) instead of preaching what people really need to hear, which is TO REPENT! To turn from their wickedness and give their life to God. It’s surprising to hear this from an Orthodox Jew but hey, God works in mysterious ways. If you both have had better experiences than I, God bless you, that’s encouraging

@@ZealotFeathers I'm half Jewish, raised Methodist, and its bad for most Protestants. I found my way back to Christianity through a religious Jew (Dennis Prager). After hearing him explain the bible, and learning that I didn't have to be Jewish (religiously) in order to do my part in making the world a better place, I realized how empty so much of modern day Christianity is. Half of the bible is about making a better society on a communal and national level by making good people on a personal level, but so much of modern day Christianity just focuses on the New Testament, on faith and personal salvation, and pretend the Old Testament doesn't exist. It is from the Old Testament that we get values like family, marriage, liberty, mercy, and justice. I now attend only Christian churches that are rooted in the Old Testament. And modern day Christianity's lack of wanting to repair the world leaves a huge hole whose vacuum is being filled up by Climate Change, LGBTQ issues, and Black Lives Matter. If only we never abandoned the antidote to that, the Old Testament.

"We know that Liberalism collapses into Marxism" - for me the most important sentence in this speech. In confirms my own observations, albeit not of history of USA, but how Communist current evolved after the "French" Revolution and was incorporated into the originally liberal revolutionary movement in the course of the century of "springs of nations". In addition, how Young Hegelians milieu and their "Die Freien" club conceived most of the initial ideas leading to formulation of Marxism, which became the way of The Left, as opposed to more classically liberal Right. I further came to a conclusion, that there's no such thing as stable liberal political system. Liberalism means loosening of principles, which allows for some transformation to be performed, although such transformation may take a long time. Hence our devotion to Progress, and conviction that The Change is the only certain and necessary "value". After transformation is almost finished, comes the hardening of some new principles, to prevent further change and cement the new system. We see it exactly as cementing the new neo-Marxist principles, hijacking and corrupting Democracy, and establishing a new, centralized Bureaucracy.

It was an important moment, but surely it's not inevitable that liberalism will always collapse into Marxism.

The problem in the West is people have been able to act freely, and have their bad behaviour subsidised by everyone else. When shielded from all consequences, people will continue to act immoral. Liberalism works, but only in its classic interpretation. A system founded upon negative rights, where people are held accountable for their own actions.

@@DavidJosephism The liberal leans into ever greater 'freedom,' and equality' and 'self expression' to the increasing detriment and erosion of 'authority,' 'tradition': such concepts as 'duty' or 'honor' or become obsolete or a hindrance; religion 'irrelevant' and 'morality' an imposition. The past holds therefore ever less interest, the future and 'progress' is all, and the writing is on the wall.

Yoram Hazony on the 2019 Dave Rubin Report said, “I think it’s a mistake to dismiss the far right - not that I’m sympathetic to them, but the quality of the arguments - the work that’s being done by people to justify like a kind of Neo-Darwinian of racism like a white identity politics. They’re actually doing quite a bit of work to get this idea into shape. I detest it. I hope it’s soundly defeated, but it’s really quite attractive to lots of people in their twenties and thirties who are looking at the old liberal order and saying, ‘OMG that doesn’t work, so where do we go?’ And it means those of us who are inclined to a national conservativism that has nothing to do with race… we have a lot of work to do to create something that’s going to be sufficiency coherent, powerful and attractive so that it will actually be politically effective before these other guys, you know, win!"
