Yeah I think it is funny he is trying to say it is a myth since I have served in the military and they will tell you not to eat poppy seed anything because it might cause you to fail random drug tests. A lot of veterans refer to them as “freedom seeds” because they are finally able to eat poppy seed muffins etc after they are done serving. So I think it’s asinine to believe it does not happen if the military is telling us stay away from them.

This just happened to me.. I had a first panel test She did one urine but two test? One was a regular panel test which was all she really would have needed and everything came out negative except for my medication which is a benzodiazepine which I'm allowed I'm supposed to have in my body and then I saw a second test for an opioid extension or something which I've never seen and it said positive for fentanyl!! I'm freaking the f*** out because this is my psychiatrist.. I can't lose my meds.. And now she's going to think I did f****** fentanyl.. what's weird to me is she sprung these tests on me I've been there 7 years and never been tested for anything in the test results came back that day within like an hour of my appointment

Now my doctor is taking me off of my Oxycodone. I am disabled and I don’t know how long I will survive my pain levels after I finish up my very last prescription. How can the doctors get away with this? As soon as I got the notice in my mail, I went straight to the drug store and bought a test. It was negative, of course so I took it up to show my nurse at the pain clinic. She didn’t even care. They are violating my civil rights for finding me guilty without due process. We ALL need to start a Class Action Lawsuits against these people for false claims. I am so upset that this is on my permanent health record.

How about negative dilute drug tests? constantly in the trucking industry drivers have to go back into the clinic to re take drug screens. I'm sure you know as a dcotor people are going to consume liquids IE water coffee gatorade any number of liquids to stay hydrated. Then by guilt by association everybody is trying to dilite a sample. I'm sure the fall back upon response as a doctor is to a say that if"we allow these as negative then everybody is going to pass" I have had to go back to a clinic 3 times in one week because of dilute samples. When is medical testing going to be enough that you in the medical proffession can realize the right of people to staty hydrated drink fluids as everybody else does but not call it a negative dillute sample therefore putting into question the person providing the sample as well as the employer that is going to recieve the results? I would love a respons or a five minute video upon this as I have never seen the rational used as this can cost people their livlehoods as well as a positive drug test as then it up to the employer if they want to further employ the employee as suspicions have now been arised due to a nagative dilute sample.

I went through that too. I have to stay hydrated out on the flight line and I would go in for the tests and get flack for diluting my urine. I finally lost my shit and told them hey look I’m not going to have kidney failure or deal with constant kidney stones and infections just because you believe urine should look a specific way. I cannot be passing out with an airplane running full blast next to me. I cannot afford to have any medical issues out here so I’m going to continue to stay hydrated and if you don’t like it oh well. You aren’t the one who would have to suffer the consequences if I’m dehydrated all the time. They finally backed off after I said that and brought up the info on what color urine should be when you are hydrated. I said look this is what medical professionals say is healthy. What you are looking for is a clear sign of severe dehydration! Not happening!

Certain combination of drugs can produce a false positive for cocaine metabolites. However, the confirmation test is there to make all positive are actually positive.

Yes there is you can literally be in a house with someone who has done it and if you touch something and bite your nail it could get into your saliva or if your at someone house or even a store and someone is near you that has done it it can end up on your hair I hope this helps

Could you please tell me how I would fight a drug test that is inaccurate? I’ve been on oxycodone for 10 years and I am 60 years old and for some reason my test came back as a positive for cocaine. Benadryl is the only different medication that I started on because of my allergies. I am so upset. I have complex regional pain syndrome, and now they want to take my medicine away from me. You can’t have a false positive as a final result. The confirmation test should have resolved any false positives that came up in the initial testing. And the doctor who reviewed the final results can turn a positive into a negative if there are valid medical reasons why that drug is in your system. “Benzoylecgonine is the major metabolite of cocaine. It is formed by hydrolysis of cocaine in the liver, catalysed by carboxylesterases. It is excreted in the urine of cocaine users after processing in the liver.” If your final lab result is positive for Benzoylecgonine, it means you have ingested cocaine somewhere and somehow.

Well isn’t that something I received a call and was told you fail you drug test. I was never asked if I was taking anything prescribe medicine such as Amoxicillin.i was basically told I failed due to cocaine the hung up on. So apparently my interview went a bit differently. Also after I received that call by a number that looked like a telemarketer. I went home and decided to take a home test that came back negative for anything. Now I’m sitting here freaking out because I’m not sure what’s gonna happen. Needless to say I haven’t done cocaine in my life.

So i went to my Doctor and she wanted blodd panel s for reg health stuff and she did a drug test..I got my results lk aan hr later.. She did a regular drug test that I tested negative for everything except for one of my medications that I'm supposed to have in my body which was a benzodiazepine.. then the second test was an opioid extension something test and that one came back positive for fentanyl!!! I don't do fentanyl!! I'm freaking out and my doctor has not mentioned it to me yet.. But I know this is a false positive! The test results came back so fast.. and the first panel test tested negative for opioids negative for everything else like I was saying and then the other opioid test said fentanyl!! This also happened to me. Will you please tell me the outcome of your unfortunate experience? I have pain medication prescribed to me and have in the past used fentanyl patches. My doctor knows what I went through to stop taking this medication. It was my choice to do so. I didn't realize at first that while I was taking that medication was causing major problems that I thought were because of my health issues. After an extremely long process, I am unable to get my pain under control but I will never go back to taking it again. So I have tested positive without knowing why it would. I was taking gabapentin for pain relief and it has been working well. I have been wondering about my balance, drunken walking issues falling, and being so aggregated experience movements but I am ADHD so I thought it was the issue I even have negative thoughts and feelings about most things. I found out that this particular medication can cause these problems. My doctor had a urine test and asked me if I'd was using any medication that wasn't prescribed to me! I did not understand how he could ask me after everything I went through stopping he said he noticed my drunken walking that was his reason. I believe you, but how would you know? Example: A person claims I’ve never done any drugs at all, but my test came back positive. My guess is the only assurance is confidence in the machines and/or processes used to test the sample. That’s is known to be very accurate, but what if there was a, say, 1- 10,000 chance the test was contaminated with a substance. How can one be positive there is no fault.

You can test positive for a class of drug and the GC/MS will identifying exactly which drug you are positive for. Some drug or combination of drugs can produce a false positive in the initial test. The confirmation test is there to verify the results to make sure all positive are actually positive.

Drug testing happens in two stages. Initial and confirmation. If the Initial test is positive, the specimen goes to confirmation. The confirmation test will provide the exactly drug(s) that the person is positive for or catch any false positive that might have popped up in the initial test. Hair test can go back 90 days. If the initial test is positive for meth and the confirmation is also positive for meth and there’s no medical explanation for the positive, then the doctor will deem the results positive for meth.

@@marktaiman2934 Adderal is from the amphetamine class. Meth is from methamphetamine. Those are two different types of drugs. Plus, the confirmation test is there to identifying which exact drug the person is positive for and to make sure all positive are actually positive. And each positive is reviewed and confirmed by a certified doctor and that usually happens after the doctor takes all information / medication / etc. into consideration. A positive is only a positive if there’s no medical reason for that drug to be in your system.
