When our Navajo people arrived in the Southwest some 2000 years ago, they brought with them a new way of life: one rooted in peace. But how did they achieve this in a world of constant conflict?
Navajo Historian Wally Brown shares the teachings and points to the peaceful Holy People as the motivating force that drove a people to achieve peace. A peace that existed among many including many who became Diné (Navajo).
It was when the Spaniards arrived that the long peace was broken. And since then the peace has been fleeting…

My great great grandfather was the product of a slave relationship, a northern Spaniard and an Aztec. The spirit of destruction has continued to murder throughout four generations, men women and children alike, replaying the depravity and exploitation up until my ancestors and I stopped it very recently through prayer and peace and truth. Thank you for your guidance and knowledge. I sobbed as my grandfather upon hearing you speak and I mourned countless lifetimes. The seventh generation has come. 0:25 peace be forever with you. ❤

Often the best means of protecting peace, is to undermine the plots of schemes of the evil seeking to feed their insatiable, greed, ego and lusts. You need to retain your humor so you are not drawn into evil to fight evil, the path of the raven, using particularly cheeky sharp humor to disrupt the activities of the evil ones, puncturing their egos and tricking them into failure. Having laughter on your face, rather than blood on your hands.

Thank you. I am fascinated by the One God, The Speaker and the 12 helpers. Reminds me so much of the story of Jesus and the apostles. And the message of our journey being one of being peace, learning to be peace reminds me Thich Naht Hahn's teaching. Rings with truth. I hope many hear it and act in peace.

What an incredible lesson or teaching to share. None of it surprised me, in fact, I feel like I know this one very well. I was not familiar with the significance of our handprints and tops of our heads as given to us, but I felt my heart swell over that moment. Although I don’t know you, Storyteller, or Advisor, or Spiritual Leader, I feel I always fall flat when trying to label someone because we are so many things at any given moment, but what I do know for sure is I really needed this right now and I’m so grateful for your generosity and humbled. Thank you so much ❤

History repeats. Being raised by parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents around a traditional setting. We moved to NM around kids who weren't raised traditional, they bullied little elementary kids, they laughed and mocked poor kids, and they laughed at the disabled students. I came from a background where we all knew one another, cared, and helped. It was strange for my people to be so cruel.

We still have hills to bless here in Texas to restore native cemetaries and restore peace. So many nations used hills to rest the dead. Too many of us have no knowledge or respect for the dead or sacred burial grounds and build homes on their graves because we have not heard or listened to the peaceful parts of the old stories like you tell of the Diné: Thank you Grandfather Wally for drawing attention to our history and the sacred way for peace. Even for those of us who cannot identify their clan names or acknowledge any native heritage either by blood or adoption, there is no harm in learning the history of the land and the people that came before us before we build and make our humble homes. If we fail to find evidence of graves, it is still better practice as Americans to build our homes into the sides of hills and leave the tops to rest in peace.

From studying the ancient art of North America, which is in the stones just like the face that you see on the crystal Painted, I see that these are a very beautiful people without any type of lewd or violent art. It’s all about beautiful birds, giant effigies that are shaped like discs, which the only way that you could carry them on your belly to simulate pregnancy. 🫄 the stone art is interactive, I found myself pointing out a nose and creating a trunk for a mammoth. ❤ every single rock, arrowheads are at minority of the artifacts.
