The little people are everywhere. I live in southeastern Massachusetts, and always ask for the blessing and protection of the spirits of the first peoples before I go walking in the woods, and make a promise to do no harm to the land and living things on it. One day I was walking in the woods in Westport and came to a stream at the bottom of a gully. It was a beautiful place, and as I walked along the bank I looked across it and saw a little brown man with a deeply wrinkled face, like one of those dried apple dolls they used to make. He was crouched over like he was trying to hide from me and looking at me over his shoulder. He was wearing a little cap and a vest with no shirt and had muscular arms. I wondered if he felt cold. As I continued to walk and watch him, he slowly turned into a tree stump. I thought, wow, that's a crazy optical illusion. So I walked backwards, thinking the stump would look like a man again, but it didnt, it stayed a tree stump. Then I got scared and felt that I was not welcome there, so I quickly left, looking behind me the whole way, until I left the woods. I never returned there. They are known as Puckwudgies by the local native people here, and are feared by them for their mean tricks and even harmful intent. Nearby is the Freetown State Forest, a part of the Bridgewater Triangle, where strange and terrible things happen often.

My father has seen one when he was 16, He lived in Gudbrandsdalen in Norway. He told me before he died about the little man who had been sitting on a rock and smoked on a pipe, And on the head he had worn a green hat. My father was so surprised to see anything like this so he carefully walked to him, But he saw my dad and jumped backwards under the rock he was sitting on. I have many more stories from my father , Mother and myself so maybe i will tell some in a video sometime.

Thanks for talking about the little people. I have had experiences with them twice, but I have known a couple friends with their own experiences. My Cherokee language professor knows a lot about them as well. One thing I discovered from my own experience was that the little people that hang around different tribes are completely different. The Cherokee ones I saw were way smaller than the ones near the Ponca tribes, which were over 3 feet tall. The Ponca ones I saw, actually get out in public and go buy people stuff, but people who interact with them completely zone out and don’t see them. It’s kind of difficult to explain and I don’t know why I was able to see them. Other than maybe because I am kind of sensitive to spirits and stuff too. I don’t have a large percentage of Cherokee blood either. I mostly identify as a white girl, but I wonder if the little bit I do have made a difference in being able to see 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, I saw a little people couple dressed really odd getting ice cream in a local shop in Ponca City, Oklahoma. They honestly looked like old-timey Mexican people from an old western movie. He had a wild bill mustache and an old leather (kinda cowboy looking) hat and she had a braid and was wrapped in a little shawl with a long skirt with southwest styled print..... I pointed them out to my friends not realizing this couple were little people. I was like, “oh my gosh, look at that teeny little couple and how weird they are dressed.” My friends kept looking, but couldn’t see who I was talking about even though we were pretty close. Less than 10 feet away. I really didn’t think much of it until I heard a Ponca lady describing the local legends and then mentioned the little people in the area. She said she had often seen them out in stores and being served, but no one hardly sees them; including people serving them. She said they are larger than other tribe’s little people and live in the woods still, but like to go into town. It all clicked and made sense; I had seen little people! That explains why my friends were oblivious to what I was pointing out. Then one thanksgiving I was in Tahlequah with the family of my boyfriend at the time. They were Cherokee and his sister in I were in her kitchen and there was a little smack on the window. We looked up and caught a glimpse. I wasn’t sure what I saw it was so fast. It was like a little figure. She said, “you saw that too didn’t you” I nodded and asked what it was. And she said it was a little person. She said she sees them often and that there are a lot of Cherokee little people around and that they knock on her window from time to time. This third story is the most interesting, but not mine. It’s my good friend Sonny’s. He’s Cherokee. He said when he was a kid, he visited relatives in Anadarko and that there were little people everywhere and among them. He said the kids would play tag under the streetlight and as it started getting dark and all of the kids were getting tagged out, there were still more and more “kids” running around tagging each other. Turns out it was little people playing. The parents realized what was happening and made the children go inside. He was told what ever he did, never follow any “kids” into that wood surrounding the area. Apparently the little people would try to get kids to follow them. Sonny said at night the family kept the door open and screen door unlocked. It was in the kitchen and there was a big container of lemonade and lots of treats on the counter by the door with a chair pushed up to the counter for easy access. He said him and his dad were sleeping on the door in the living room and all night he heard that screen door open and shut followed by little foot steps. He asked his dad what it was. His dad said, “go back to sleep, it’s just the little people.” Apparently his relatives literally kept food and drinks out every night to keep the little people happy. In middle school, I had a friend who’s grandpa was a Cherokee medicine man and he told his grandson that when he was a young man learning, he worked with little people sometimes. He said they would help him figure out how to treat people and help people because they had such a vast knowledge of the local plants and wildlife. Definitely an interesting topic. It is said you shouldn’t talk about them, but I feel like everyone does. I know that I definitely believe in them.

wow, thanks for sharing. I kind of got the impression that not a lot of people from my own home knew what I was talking about. I've only heard a few stories and then when I saw that little guy. the story on how they go into town without being seen is interesting. it does make me wonder if only sensitive people can only see it. also I hear they do like sweets and some other northern tribes leave out sweets for them. I've also heard, from northern tribes, that the little people also like silver like things, or shiny things. which is why other tribes joke about silverware always going missing. they say the little people take them. I liked reading your stories. I have never been told not to talk about it, I think it's just one of things that we don't talk about because either people will think you're crazy or not many know about it. idk. either way thanks for sharing. if you noticed, not many people responded...thanks for sharing

@@whatwouldkittydo well I totally appreciated your stories. ever since my sighting, I’ve found them super fascinating. I’m pretty sure I’ve had conversations about them to all of my native friends. Or we’d have a conversation and they would end it with, “but you know you’re not supposed to talk about them... if they find out, they’ll get mad.” We are mostly Cherokee, Osage, and Creek around here. Hi Kitty, Native Hawaiians have a group of little people called Menehune. You can looks them up on Wikipedia. I taught at Fort Thomas High and had many students tell me stories about ghosts. One was about a child or maybe little person that used to run into their house near the Black Point Cemetery. He would run into the house and get into an empty bed in the spare bedroom then disappear. Another was about a UFO that many people saw crash on the foothills of MT Turnbull in the 1970’s. They went to investigate and were hit with a strange burst of cold air that stopped them in their tracks and they couldn’t proceed. Lots of scary things on the Rez.

One of my late relatives used to work in p.o.p. for fence crew. He said he would find old small burden baskets, or small bows and arrows, something that a kid with play with but it's more legit. Like it could kill a deer. But one story that standed out was when he said early in the am at the ranch when he got up to use the restroom just before breakfast, he heard the ranch dog barking towards the flat area. So he walked that way with his binoculars to see what the dogs saw. He said he seen a calf running like it was being chased, he thought it was buy coyotes or sumn. But when he walked to a good area to see what was chasing it, he saw like 5 or 6 small figures running after that calf and they were a about half the size of it. The figures were like kids or in other words, "little people"

back in the late 90s. I had seen a small humanoid on the side of the road. it was right off to the right side on the grass, just before you would merge with traffic. it was the height of a small child. had huge that reflected the light. and a wide smile, full of small little teeth. too many teeth for a mouth. it either was wearing a long blonde wig, or that was its hair. but the creepy thing was, it was thumbing for a ride. I was the only one to see it, even though the car was full of people. me, my girlfriend at the time, and a few other friends. they were busy looking onto oncoming traffic to see if it was safe. where I was sitting in the passenger seat. staring to the right side, rather than the left. we were so close to it. it was over the roadside railing, standing in the grass. behind it was some woodland areas. when the car pulled up to the merger, the car was perhaps just 5 or 6 ft from the railing. and it was right there, smiling its creepy grin. staring right at me. at first, I thought it was a large doll or a misplaced mannequin. but nope... the little fucker just turned its head and nodded, as it continued to wave its thumb. smiling menacingly. this happened in Virginia by the way. all my experiences happened there.

Hi miss Kitty, you must be from New Mexico, I am also from Southern NM. I want to share my story of my experience when I was just a child of about 5 years. My story starts in a small village in California, I recall vividly that there was a small commotion with some teenage boys that had captured a small baby like creature in a grassy vacant field. A teenage boy was holding a baby like creature by is its waist, the little creature was protesting, kicking it's feet and fraying its arms in protest while uttering grunting sounds. I remember approaching the boy who was carrying it; he lowered this baby like creature for me to view it. It appeared to be a baby but even at that young age I instinctively know that it was not a real baby, though it was alive, it was not a doll, now that I look back I can estimate that the creature was about 10 to 12 inches tall, this creature was nude. I never knew what became of the creature whether it was returned to the field or killed by the boy's. I never thought to ask my older brothers if they knew what happened to the creature.

I’m in the rez, Canada. Ontario. Forgot to mention, UFOs are more common here. I see them almost every week! I actually talked with one of them, well not like having conversations or anything, More like I would ask “show me again!” Then the UFO would appear in the sky again. Three times in a row the UFO danced in the sky for me. Then I said my thanks and left them in peace. My best friend witnessed the whole thing lol his face was all white afterwards

Miss Kitty, I also have an other experience that I would like to share, but I will share that on your next video. It seems odd to call you "Miss Kitty" that is the name I gave to a black feral cat that I was feeding. Lol

Hello miss kitty my name Is Andrew Griggs but my step father's father a Chief of the ogalala Sioux named me cat scratched him ,but that's a different story when I was very young I knew and was told I would be tall and a beautiful man (I hated this as a boy ) I wanted to be tall and fierce, but I was always raised to be respectful and told to keep my eye sharp so I could see the forest people and how to look for and talk to elves fairies sprites quicklings and even dragon s or sqauche my people are tall and white but not the American whites we come from the Carpathian mountain s my mother married a indian man named Steve Rousseau who was a 6'5" ogalala brave handsome man proud strong but he hated me I was not his and I am white but your people and the other half of my people met long before the so called Spaniard Columbus blundered his way and accidentally discovered America I speak of my people the Vikings but that's another story but the legend of the pipiwa little people who even the Sioux feared and lost entire hunting parties to these little warrior s . I have some interesting stories about them and my own adventures with the many mystic creatures

That was a great set of stories. When out hiking u should gift the little people as I do as they will always be great friends but when gifting candy and tobacco in various places is fine but the whiskey give it sparingly because they will get to depending on it and expect u to do this every time. Kind of like kids if u know what I mean. When u give them hard candy make sure it is individually wrapped I remember one time I gave a gifting pack and it had some that weren't wrapped I stopped for a rest on a pile of rocks and when I got up the leave at my feet was the small package they brought back to me. With the ones that weren't wrapped. Surprise surprise I thought. After that I knew what I had to do. Be safe in the woods but if u ever need help remember a small bottle of whiskey unopened will get you alot of help when in need.

I heard of the little people an I'm really interested but I've been told not to bother them or looking for them.

I heard of northern stories of how they help the people and to give offerings. I've never heard anything from within my people. When I did this video a lot of people never heard of little people amongst us.

@IalaReed, that is what I know too. You don't mess with them or any of their things you find. If you see them, just look away and keep to your own business, you don't want to aggravate them!!!

My friend and co-worker told me when he was 15 he went to a summer camp in the San Bernadino Mts. and they gave him a list of what he could and couldn't bring to camp and there was a item on the do not bring list . It said do not wear or bring any expensive footwear like designer Athletic Tennis shoes . On the third night his left shoe turned up missing he told the camp counselor and they gave him a pair of used shoes he thought someone was playing tricks on him by the end of two weeks almost everybody at the camp had at least one shoe taken some had both. All the kids thought the Camp Counselors where going to give back their shoes before they left . . . Nothing but hugs and goodbyes . Here's the strange part of the story my friend and three others went off hiking on some trails and found a little ax and a pair of shoes , the ax looked like a Fred Flintstone tomahawk ax it was made of stone with leather bindings on a club like stick it was about five inches long and the shoes were made out of wood like clogs with leather straps two boys took the ax and shoes my friend didn't want nothing to do with them . It was only the one that took the ax that had weird stuff start happening at his parents house about three months later he told my friend he was not kidding he would here like little footsteps running around the house at night and his family started having things turn up missing even their shoes. He started having sleep paralysis where it felt like someone was choking him in his sleep and then it started on his sister long story short he ended up talking to an Elder who told him to take back the ax where he found it. Sometimes we need to be careful what we bring into our lives and homes, I Found a Crows feather that was stuck on the side of the trail over a foot long i looked at it didn't touch it and when me and my wife came back down the trail a couple hours later it was gone. At the time i kept thinking that has to be one gigantic Crow.
