Thank you once again for an excellent and directly useful presentation. I'm a long way from home, travelling for the first time with my Maschine + in my hotel room studio😉 and I decided to add some location recordings to a piece of work as background effects. The only thing that stopped me is that the cable I bought has a mini jack which is not the same as my headphone jack for my (Android) phone. So, it looks like it fits but the rings on the mini jack don't agree and there's no connection. Having carefully followed all your instructions, I still have to wait until I get home to move on and I was a real test of my patience when I finally learned what was wrong. The silver lining was that I needed to watch back again and again and now I really know what I'm doing! You are gorgeous!

If you have the Audio interface outputs going into the Maschine inputs and the set the maschine audio interface as your sound card source inside the software it should work just fine.

But what if I want to use my daw’s soundcard? Working in Logic Pro, RME interface and using the Maschine as a plugin INSIDE Logic Pro?

Your best bet would be to sample directly into your Audio interface to a track inside your DAW and then Drag and drop that inside Maschine software as a wave.

After you do this, could you technically use Serato Sample 2 to do stem separation (not sure if that’s correct terminology)? I am trying to isolate vocals or whatever from the sample that I did with my phone.

Thank you for commenting! Question do you have the input gain turn up on the back? If so, once you sample into the Maschine, Try to Normalize the audio afterwards. I Personally would only use the Mic input for Microphones.

I did have it up and it was still quiet as a mouse. Once I moved it over to mic it was normal volume. Thanks so much for responding. I just updated my Maschine+ and now the screen has been stuck on startup. Got so excited giving this thing another shot after your video :(

@@TyraFromSaigon If it works run with it😁😊! That sucks that you’re having issues with your Maschine. I actually had a similar problem with the Maschine Plus. I had to put in a help desk ticket with NI and they sent me out another one. I was still within the warranty period. If you just got it, it might be worth reaching out to NI and express the issues you have been having. I hope everything works out for you. Let me know how things go!

I have Maschine Studio, which only has 2 inputs on the back for footswitch. How do I sample from my iphone on the Maschine Studio? Can't find the proper setup anywhere online for this particular hardware. I assume I have to run something through my audio interface (focusrite). Any help would be great! lol yes I am fully aware that it is standalone. This is for utilizing the audio interface instead of the software and sampling directly inside the software/ computer. I did another video showing how to sample directly into the Maschine Plus in complete standalone mode.
