8:28 I have a question to the velocity curves. I have an S61 MK1, but it also has the same velocity curves. But next to the fact that there are velocity curves, I somehow do not get the full velocity spectrum from 1 to 127. Maybe I get 1, but just touching it a little harder directly jumps up to 30 or so. It is nearly impossible to get values from 2 - 20. Is this the same for the MKII? And how hard do you need to push (especially on the black keys) to get up to 127 if possible at all? On the MK1 especially the black keys already producing very loud stop noise before you get high velocity values.

I know that you can adjust the softness and so on, but if you start from a normal piano then you can also determine the hardness by pressing the keys with different strengths. The question is whether you can adjust it somehow and if so, where?

Grandissimo video Paolo!
@SynthManiaDotCom3 жыл бұрын
@pauljordan62953 жыл бұрын

Great demonstration of this versatile software & the midi keyboard Paolo! 👍👍 A few questions: 1. What was your opinion regarding the action/touch & build quality of the keyboard? 2, Does it have aftertouch & if it does, how well does the aftertouch work? 3. What computer did you use & what are its specifications? 3. How much lag/latency did you experience when using it? Thanks! 😎
@SynthManiaDotCom3 жыл бұрын
Derek, thanks! 1. The keyboard is high quality Fatar. Very good touch response 2. Yes, it has aftertouch and it works well 3. I use both PCs and Macs, in this video I used a self-built Intel i9-based PC I built a couple of years ago - SSD, 64GB RAM, water-cooled, high-level video card, overall high specs (about 3K build) 4. That depends on which audio interface you use but these days even a cheap 100 bucks interface has low latency - I use several, typically get 3-5ms, you can't basically tell any latency playing from the keyboard via USB - its' instantaneous.

Hello there I follow you very fondly and I do not have a single day that I did not visit your page, I take you as an example for myself and I want to be like you, I am very amateur in this business, I do not have much money, the devices that I can enjoy this pleasure are very expensive in my country, I liked this review very much. Is it possible for an amateur with limited possibilities to make Italian disco music with this keyboard? I really like this device and it looks very easy to use. Can I produce the music you produce with this device? I would be grateful if you could help, and if this keyboard comes with a video of italo disco music, it will be very useful for people like me. thank you so much.
@SynthManiaDotCom3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes, you can make any style of music with this keyboard (has arpeggiator, controls for DAW etc.) but keep in mind this is only a MIDI controller keyboard - it does not have any sounds built in. You have to connect it to a computer, and use software plugins to generate the sounds. If you have Kontakt or any other Native Instruments library, it is designed to work especially well with those plugins, but you can use it with any other DAW and plugins as well. So if you're on a budget keep in mind that there are no sounds in this keyboard, and that you will have to purchase the sounds separately on the computer.
