Pattern 37 can be heard throughout much of the 12 inch version of Band Aid "Do They Know It's Christmas". Presumably used as a guide until Phil Collins recorded his drum part, but Trevor Horn left it in the extended mix all the way up to the middle 8 when Phil's drums kick in

Brilliant. I'm Italian and this takes me back straightforwardly to this golden era. ❤ Your intro reminds me a bit of koto stuff. 😍

@SynthMania The ascending notes that you play on the keyboard in the beginning and starting at 0:27, I think I heard this sequence in some other electronic songs in the 80s. Can you tell me if this is a musical standard and has a name? Juno-106 synth brass

Incredible, my first MIDI interface was a Midiman (I still have it, the case was metal) but not USB, it was using an AppleTalk cable. Thanks for the video BTW!

Hey, first off thanks very much for doing this review. I was about to pass by as there was a fair amount of preamble and talking about the unit before the actual playing. And then I heard you play the Brains! Obviously, you are a great musician, your breakdown of the module is very much appreciated. Play more!

Very, very cool! 🙂 Personally I like jams to be long. To have time to get myself "in the zone" and lose myself and have no time-limit rather than quick jams but each to their own preference.

Mike Oldfield use this thing a lot for the cheezy flute lead he slow down the tape and record the lead of blue peter with it, but he use that synth on many track from his early 70's and 80's album.

Is it just me that couldn't find that P-button at the back?
@SynthManiaDotCom23 сағат бұрын
It's there. Use a flashlight/smartphone light if you can't see it, it's on the underneath of the synth, the hole/receptacle says "P" near it. It's a very tiny button, silver colored, you need a tootpick of similar small tool to push it.

What a lovely sound. I often see this synth compared with the Juno series, but it sounds different to me. Although, having someone who knows what they're doing probably helps to make it sound unique.
