I have been getting a Kontakt 7 error message recently that stopped Instruments from being opened to Kontakt 7. This video goes over the issue and provides the information you need to fix it.

Can't believe I've finally stumbled upon this video. Thank you. For months now, I've succumbed to the idea that I will never get to use those once working play series etc instruments until the day I get a new mac! It didn't make any sense to me either, but I didn't challenge it because I knew I was guilty as charged for stringing out an overdue computer hardware upgrade. Catalina here too. I'll try what you suggested. Thanks for having gone through the lengthy support rigmarole and sharing with us. 😅

Yeah It's amazing how many new Mac's are having issues. I thought it was just the older MacOS. Native instruments really need to sort this out

They worked OK on my system so maybe just bin them and try again? This is the only fix info I received from NI.

Software didnt use to be this complex to run on systems thus this is why i would be iffy to spend on something like komplete 14 collectors edition or even a good version just to find out you have to do 100 things to get it to work. And if some daws dont do vst3 or some odd stuff your out of luck...

I have exactly the same prob : too old imac with Catalina and can't upgrade Kontakt to 7 :/ This is quite a very long process but… at least I hope it will work fine ! I also hope Native guys will fix that (a 6.8.1 version ?) because if we have to install everything twice… it will be a real pain in what you know…

Hey! I recently shifted some samplea to a new external SSD. When I used one drive to read samplea from, every thing was fine. But since I am using two disks, I have started facing several problems. Libraries load slow, daw crashes and tons of other problems. Can reading samplea from 2 ssds be a problem?

Hi, well I use one SSD for all my NI instruments and don't have issues but not sure about two. The first thing to check is in Native Access to make sure you have updated the installation path so samples can be found. The other thing you can try in Komplete Kontrol is to try a Batch Resave and update problem Instruments.

I have kontakt 7, have used it constantly for a year, and suddenly all my libraries say I need to update to newest version of Kontakt. But anything I find on the subject, talks about updating to Kontakt 7, which I've always been on.

Yeah there's a lot of versions of Kontakt 7, I'm on 7.4 but it's up to 7.8 I think. I'm stuck with 7.4 due to my MacOS

IIRC, CTRL-click to open "unknown" apps - avoids the Preferences->Security dance.

You install Kontakt through Native Access, so the problem would lie there if the install path has not been set up correctly.

If you open Komplete kontrol and go to preferences I'm sure there is a library section there where you can possibly delete items. Unfortunately you can't do this from Native Access but they are looking to implement this feature

I got Native Access working by enabling the virtual drive enumerator in device manager in Windows 11. And installing in the default locations before moving to my other drive later.

I'm on Windows ten and after buying 8io score bundle, it said my kontakt 7 was too old to run the libraries. Tried updating, update failed. Paid for latest kontackt. Pinched in serial number. Registration successfull. No sign of it in any version of native access. A whole day of getting nowhere after forking out money.

Hello, Kontakt 7 works on my M1 Mac, but many of my libraries don't show up in Kontakt. I can see them in my native access, though. Have you ever had this happen to you? Thank you

First thing to try is open Komplete Kontrol go to Preferences then Library and hit Rescan and see if that helps.

Whenever I try to install Native Access, the loading bar stops halfway, restarts, and shows an error saying that I may not have the right permissions. Can someone help me fix this?

To be honest I think this is a disgraceful action from NI.. Love their stuff but I think this is corporate bullshit, not wanting to fix it to force people to buy the newest versions.

Yeah if you look at the comments there are people with brand new M2 Macs having issues as well so not just the old MacOS that's affected.

Hey man since yesterday i found out i have a problem with kontakt 7. So when i open it it says demo/buy/activate. Keep in mind i have komplete 14 standard. So when i press activate it opens native access and i can use it , but then i see some banks are in demo and some are gone like the grandeur and the gentleman for example. So i tried to delete kontakt 7 and now i cant install it again it says installation failed revieuw location. Nothing works i already send emails and ticket to NI

So there is a new Kontakt 7.7 version that came out recently so maybe the demo was for that. Which version did you get with 14 standard. I'm sure NI will sort it out they are just quite slow.

@@DavidThomCreations okay so i fixed it. This are the steps i followed : 1. Install native acces ONE 2. Then you login with your credentials and you should see all products and kontakt 7 3. Download Kontakt 7 again 4. Then download native acces 2 again and it should be fixded 5. Follow steps 1-4

Yeah I'm not sure what's going on with Kontakt but they need to sort it out. Have you tried installing the older versions?

I was getting the "Too old" problem with Noire. I posted a general note above on how I resolved it.

I'm on Intel Mac so can't really help you there but i can't see why it wouldn't work if you're using the latest versions of Kontakt and Native Access.

Kontakt 7 does not work on Mac studio ultra 2 I got everything updated true rosetta 2 etc.. Open logic with rosetta 2 also Kontakt etc so I know as a fact it does not work

Kontakt 7 latest even on latest hardware doesn’t even work either. It introduces glitches and pops. Disgraceful from Ni , here you need to upgrade to our broken version😂

Gotta say I've never had so many crashes with a piece of software as I've had with KONTAKT 7. It just been a real disappointment. I really wouldn't recommend this sampler to anyone at this point.
